Had a full day planned and a tight schedule as we had limited time in Varenna. Our tour was supposed to start at 10. We got to the gates at 9:30 or then told that it wouldn’t open until 1030. Apparently somebody had booked a photo shoot so all of the rest of us had to wait until they were finished with that.. several other people in line were upset as they two were on tight schedules. It was very inconsiderate to keep several people who bought tickets in advance for a 10 o’clock entrance, waiting for the gates to open at 10:30.
