7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Hotel Pickup Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel in a luxury, air-conditioned van. Pickup times will vary depending on your location. The tour operator will confirm your exact pickup time via email after booking. Enjoy a scenic drive through beautiful landscapes on the way to The Lake Phuket Elephant Nursery, located in a forested area in northern Phuket.
9:00 AM: Arrival at The Lake Phuket Elephant Home Meet your guide and receive an introduction to the sanctuary and its ethical practices. Learn about the rescued elephants' background and their transition to a safe, free-roaming environment. Gather bananas and cane sugar to feed the elephants.
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Elephant Care Class and Forest Walk Participate in an Elephant Care Class, where you’ll learn how to interact with the elephants in a respectful and ethical manner. Stroll through the forest with your guide, observing the elephants as they roam freely. Hear stories about each elephant’s journey, their personalities, and their behaviors while exploring the sanctuary’s natural environment. 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Elephant Bathing and Mud Play Watch as the elephants play in the mud and enjoy a refreshing bath in natural ponds. Observe their behavior and interaction with each other, and learn from your experienced guide about their daily routines and well-being. This is a perfect time for taking photos and capturing the elephants in their natural habitat.
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Thai Cooking Class and Lunch Participate in a hands-on Thai cooking class where you will prepare a traditional dish. After the class, sit down to enjoy a delicious set menu lunch, featuring your prepared dish and a variety of seasonal fresh fruits. Take this time to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of the sanctuary. 1:00 PM: Departure from the Sanctuary Bid farewell to the elephants and the sanctuary staff. Board the air-conditioned van for a comfortable drive back to your hotel.
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Hotel Drop-off Arrive back at your hotel after an enriching experience with the elephants. Drop-off times may vary depending on the location of your accommodation.

This experience exceeded our expectation. We learned to chop siugar cane to feed the elephants. Daeng, the leader, shared about his culture growing up and about elephant care. We walked through the vegetation to feed the elephants in nature. We watched the caretaker of each elephant feed, provide fresh water and bathe the elephants. Then, we got in the water to scrub the elephants. We mage papaya salad and were fed a delicious lunch. I encourage you to spend the money on this tour.
