Great walking tour with Irish Mark.

This tour is a great way to see and learn all about Edinburgh. The tour has a lot of walking but is well worth it, ending with the spectacular Edinburgh Castle. Mark C (Irish Mark) was a great guide imparting with lots of knowledge and stories at many landmarks and historical sights making the tour interesting and enjoyable. Mark was also extremely considerate as one of our party of four has bad knees and Mark made sure he accommodated for her by limiting the number of stairs. Highly recommended this tour for a full, enjoyable day discovering Edinburgh.

A deep dive into the history of the city and how it was shaped throughout the centuries

A full day exploring the reasons behind and the history of the Old Town and the New Town with a full historical context of the evolution of the city. The context was reinforced through visits to museums and historical landmarks. Great explanations of the political as well as physical influences which guided the choices of the period from a lifestyle perspective was deeply revealing. Wear a really good pair of shoes or hiking boots and be prepared for any kind of weather as it can change in a minute. Kieron was a great guide well versed in the art, architecture and politics of the time.
