Both instructors were friendly, helpful and well versed on the subject. Instructions were easy to follow. My daughter and I had a nice time.
The vendor was very rude. After arriving at the location where there was no signage I started messaging her where I was kept waiting for 30 minutes for a response just for her to be incredibly dismissive and rude. She said that she had updated the location of her studio 3 months ago and that 4 other people who booked through viator all found their way to her without issue, and that she had checked herself and the information on viator was correct. After taking the issue up with viator customer service she offered to rebook or reluctantly offer a refund. She is a very rude person to deal with I would strongly hesitate in recommending anyone book this activity.

I booked a lipstick-making experience for me and my two friends for €150, and it was a complete nightmare from the start. The confirmation email we received had no time or details, and the link provided led to an error, so we were worried we had been scammed. We called to check, and they confirmed the payment and said details would follow,but we only received the correct information on the same day of the experience, three hours before it started. The website gave no location, and when we searched on Google Maps and Apple Maps,which gave us two completely different locations, which caused huge confusion. When we arrived at the first location, there was no signage, and the owner refused to help over the phone, saying she couldn’t leave the workshop and hanging up. After finally finding the correct location, 15 minutes away, the employee was amazing, calm, professional, and understanding. She told us that the workshop had already ended. We understood that the website may have had an error due to different time zones, so when we schedule it appeared one hour later. We explained the situation saying that we thought it was at 19h , since that was the only information we had from the moment we schedule, since we didnt received a confirmation until that day. Unfortunately, the owner was extremely rude, refused to listen to our explanation, and called us fake, insisting we leave. It became clear that rescheduling was impossible, and we just wanted a refund. After a while, she gave it reluctantly, clearly only because she wanted us gone. It was an awful situation since we try to explain our side but she would not listen and just leave the room in the middle of the conversation. I felt disrespected and do not advise anyone to go there after my personal experience. The experience itself could have been fun, but the miscommunication, multiple locations, lack of clear information, and unprofessional behavior of the owner completely ruined it. The employee deserves recognition, but I cannot recommend this experience under any circumstances.
Dear Laura, Thank you for sharing your feedback. According to our system, all the infos was sent on the day you booked the experience. It is possible that the email went to your spam, as we have been operating our website for over 3 years and this is the first time a participant has reported not receiving the notification. When you arrived at 7:00 pm, my assistant also showed you the booking confirmation, which clearly indicated that the workshop started at 5:30 pm (17:30). All the infos had been correctly in the booking. Although you mentioned that the workshop appeared to start at 7:00 pm when you booked it, this was not the case, as other participants booked the same session and all arrived on time at 5:30 pm, except you. I would also like to mention that the situation was very uncomfortable. The behavior of 3 of you was aggressive and extremely rude, and I was insulted in front of other participants. This is something I have never experienced before, which is why I chose to step away to another room to remain calm and avoid further escalation. :) You also got your refund immediately. Next time, please check your booking carefully. If you book flight tickets, I don't think you can go to the ticket agency and insult the owner in order to get a refund, as you did with me. This shop is a hidden gem in Paris 2! Making my own lipstick from scratch was such a fun experience. The host is a true expert and made the whole process easy and relaxing. I loved that we used completely natural ingredients and even got a recipe card to take home. I highly recommend adding the lip gloss making (it's only an extra 7€). If you love creative workshops, this is an activity must do in Paris.
I booked this natural lipstick workshop in the 2nd arrondissement and it exceeded my expectations! The shop is adorable and the atmosphere is so cozy. The host is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable; she guided us through picking 100% natural ingredients. The best part is that you actually get to keep the recipe to make more at home! I also grabbed the option to make a custom lip gloss for just 7 euros more—totally worth it. This is definitely an activity must do in Paris.
