Eating Paris: Saint Germain Food & Wine Tour

Description
Journey through centuries of French gastronomy in Paris’ most fashionable neighborhood. Explore the iconic Saint-Germain des-Prés area while you snack on French cheese eaten by the French President, a baguette tradition (we’ll explain) and modern farm-to-table French cooking from one of the city’s best Néo-bistros. Throughout this chic tour of les beaux quartiers, you will be transported through time as the history of the city of love is told through world-class food: from the finest caviar and salmon to (literally) revolutionary bread. All throughout, you will hear stories of thinkers like Hemingway and Picasso all the way through to the boundary-pushing Chefs of today. Paris’ Left Bank has seen it all, and this tour is the best way to get to know its past and present.

Great morning with Betsy who guided us for food around St Germain area of Paris. Really knowledgeable and passionate about Paris. She’s lived in Paris for a decade and originally from California. Great experiences starting with a croissant and coffee stop followed by savoury crepe, champagne and macaroon stops. Friendly, flexible and well planned and curated around what we wanted. Booked through Eating Europe it’s a great experience.

We had a fantastic time on an Eating Europe trip through Saint Germain with an excellent guide named Betsy. She was so sweet and so informative that it made the afternoon very special. Not to mention all of the wonderful food that we tasted including an apple tart, chocolate mousse, caviar with sparkling wine, quiche Loraine, pork belly with wine, a few yummy cheeses, and some amazing chocolate candy. My wife and I are both pretty introverted but Betsy was amazing to talk with. She also filled us in on many of the histories of the foods and also the history of the shops themselves. Thanks so much for the great time, Betsy!
Betsy was an incredible guide! She was so kind, so knowledgeable, personable, and a fun person to spend the afternoon with! All of the food was incredible. My favorites were the chocolate mousse and pork belly. I especially appreciated how Betsy made an effort to have a 1:1 conversation with each member of our group, it made the experience feel more specialized and intimate. My
