Assunta was wonderful! We had a fascinating and fun private tour with her through the Vatican. She kept things interesting and well-paced and also was just a delightful person. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat!
This was the best tour we took on our Italy trip! Laura was an amazing tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable about the history and the art. She explained everything in a way that was interesting not only for the adults but for my children as well. We got into the Vatican museums early, so there was hardly anyone around. She didn’t rush us if we wanted to linger at particular spots and answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend using LivTours again.
We had our Private Vatican Tourn with Secret Rooms led by Priscilla. Priscilla was an outstanding guide and deeply knowledgeable about all of the amazing art contained in the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. This tour also provided access to certain restricted areas not open to the general public including the Bramante Staircase and the Niccoline Chapel. These well preserved elements of the Vatican Palace were both visually stunning and incredibly interesting to learn the history and function of these sites. Priscilla provided running commentary on each room we visited but also gave us space to explore at our own pace and to address many of our questions and observations as we made our way around the museums, palace and basilica. This was a fantastic tour and we would highly recommend to others interested in taking a deeper dive into the history of the Vatican and the various artists who helped to design and create the artistic masterpieces housed within its walls.
Fantastic explanation of the history and culture of the Vatican! Excellent tour guide who is extremely knowledgeable! Higjhly recommend! 10/10
Kristin was extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. She held my teenagers’ attention throughout the tour. We learned so many interesting facts and her sense of humor kept us engaged. The tour was exactly what I expected considering it came highly recommended by our closest friends. Thank you so much for providing a tour that satisfied us all.
Massimo was our guide and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed learning so many details about the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters.
Our family of four took the private early morning tour in June 2026 with Donata as our guide. Donata was warm, knowledgeable, flexible, friendly, experienced - everything you would want in a guide. She stood in line for us while we grabbed coffee and pastries, navigated us around the teeming throngs of tourists, and pointed out fascinating details about the art, history, architecture, and people. She is clearly a well loved person around the Vatican, as many other guides and Vatican personnel greeted her warmly. I would certainly recommend Donata to friends who might be interested in a tour of the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica. After the tour ended late morning, we noticed what appeared to be separate hours-long lines for the musuem and for the basilica, and were thankful to have been able to experience both without standing in these lines. One thing to note is that the meeting spot was actually at the street adjacent to the cafe, not in front of the cafe as stated.
Our small group was very fortunate to have Luisa as our tour guide, she was so friendly and knowledgeable, she weaved us through the crowd with such ease, it made the tour one we will never forget.
We had the most amazing tour with our guide Lia! She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the art and the history contained in these beautiful buildings. Even in the early morning these venues are very crowded and can feel overwhelming, but Lia helped us navigate them with ease and ensured we took the time to understand the context and history - she even made sure we got in some memorable photos. We were a family of five; 2 adults, 3 late teens and a 12-year-old and we all had positive things to say about this tour.
Mateo was very informative and this guided tour was excellent! Early morning was a bit rough to get up for but I highly recommend doing the early tour. Still busy but less crowded. Great tour. Highly recommend
