The Ombla is a short river in Croatia, northeast of Dubrovnik. Its course is approximately 30 metres (98 feet) long, and it empties into the Rijeka Dubrovačka embayment of the Adriatic Sea near Komolac in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Rijeka Dubrovačka is actually a ria, a flooded river valley formed through changes in sea surface elevation on a geologic time scale. The river rises as a karst spring fed by groundwater replenished by Trebišnjica, which is an influent stream flowing in Popovo Polje, in the immediate hinterland of the Ombla. The elevation difference between the river's source and its mouth is just over 2 metres (6 feet 7 inches). The average discharge of the river is 24.1 cubic metres (850 cubic feet) per second. The drainage basin of the Ombla encompasses 600 square kilometres (230 square miles) and, besides the short surface course, includes only groundwater flow.
Srđ is a low mountain just behind the walled city of Dubrovnik in Dalmatia, Croatia.[1] The mountain, part of the Dinaric Alps, has a height of 412 metres (1,352 ft).[2] At its top is a large white stone cross and Fort Imperial, a defensive structure built by the French in 1810 during the Napoleonic Wars. Srđ is popular with tourists as a viewpoint[1] from which it is possible to see the walled city of Dubrovnik, Lokrum island, the Adriatic Sea and various local attractions (including restaurants and the Stradun).Srđ was once forested with oak trees which locals called dubrava (from the old Slavic word dub, "oak tree"), after which the city of Dubrovnik was named. The southern slope was once rich with pine forests, but in the second half of the 20th century and during the 1991–95 Croatian War of Independence, the forest was almost completely gutted through numerous fires. A zigzag Calvary leads up from the town. The mountain was home to one of the fiercest battles of the Independence War, namely the Siege of Dubrovnik, and this is commemorated in a museum in Fort Imperial.[1] The television mast was destroyed by fighter aircraft from the Yugoslav Air Force.[3] The cable car that was disabled during this time has since been reopened, and Srđ has been developed as a tourist attraction, with a restaurant[1] and a base for buggy safaris.

Reservaste la excursión panorámica de Dubrovnik a las 15:00 y me contactaste inmediatamente después de la reserva. En ese momento, me encontraba en Herzegovina de viaje a Kravice a las cascadas y Mostar, que están a 120 km de Dubrovnik, y normalmente no puedo realizar la excursión que reservaste.
We felt like we had a private tour. The chauffer and guide was very knowledgeable ,professional, and accommodating. He was right at port to pick us up and gave us a lot of information about Dubrovnik. Visited all the places mentioned on the tour.
Our guide, Mili, took us to places we never expected to see. We went to a small waterfall and then amazing overlook of the old city from the top of the cliffs. Breathtaking!! You will also get time to walk and explore the Old City
We were spending money to go on tours in Dubrovnik- IVO who calls himself the owner will argue, be rude, not listen and especially DRIVE BAD.... Find another person to take you.... IF IVO is the owner of this... SHAME ON HIM and may everyone find out how self centered and rude you are,,,, NOT MAKING TRAVEL FUN or wanting to come back with sure rude, argumentative personality....

I was in Dubrovnik and I made a tour with Smiley tours. Our Driver came to us with a van, that was dirty. Wenn we went to the turnoff, the driver was very unsafe and didn´t explain us about our tour, so that anyone who came to Dubrovnik didn´t recommended smiley tours!
Thanks kauhava2004 for your review can you please tell me when you have been in Dubrovnik and what was name of your driver because that what you write is not true because our driver allways explain everything to our guest. I think that you haven't been with Smiley Tours on tour and one advice when you go on tour with somebody allways ask driver name and bill and on that way you will know with who you have been on tour. My friends and I got together for a supper cruise on the Mediterranean. Out of the 6 stops Croatia was the best! This was largely due to Smiley Tours and our driver Dino. We only had a few hours and he helped us make the most of the time that we had. We met him at the cruise terminal and he was able to show us around while giving us historical information and even took us places we wanted to go. We got to see everything we wanted and even dropped us off with time to spare! Awesome tour!

We had such a lovely morning, the tour was a lovely way to see Dubrovnik and other little gems. When we set off, we had to go through some lovely areas, areas you would not see if not on the tour. When we started to climb, to get the perfect view from high, it was AMAZING. We got out of the vehicle and took the view in, it takes your breath away. We continued to the very top, watched the cable cars come and go and walked around the area. So glad we went up in the car and not the cable car, feel we have seen more. We then went on to see other parts of Dubrovnik, going across the Franjo Tudman Bridge and seeing some nice beaches and also where the cruise ships dock. They have it so planned out, for all the tourists arriving by ship. We found out so much more, having a personal tour guide. You can only get so much from a guide book. Smiley Tours have so much to offer, we shall use them again. Seen what they can offer online.
Ivo was a very knowledgeable and interesting guide! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and the various stops. A couple of minor observations . ... maybe he could talk a little slower. And louder for people in the rear of vehicle...
