It is a special experience to drive the Trabi in convoy through Dresden. Especially if you've never driven it before. The information about the city is almost incidental.
A very unique experience - driving an iconic GDR era car through Dresden while learning more about it's history and landmarks. Something completely different and a nice way to round off a visit to Dresden. Guide was very accommodating and managed the experience in a fun but professional manner.
This tour is a highlight! Peter, our guide, was able to get us excited about his hometown in a friendly way! He hit the right note between technical jargon and casual colloquial language. The organization and the little gift at the end were also top notch! We recommend this event without reservation!
This was a must tour in Dresden. My wife and I did the 2.15 hour tour and it went by very fast. I would suggest that each person get there own vehicle unless you want to keep switching. The shifting takes while to get used to, but it was a blast. The tour location in Berlin is in the city center. However, in Dresden, it is about 4 miles outside the city center.
Very nice experience. After a short briefing, we drove through Dresden in a Trabi. We were connected to a loudspeaker and received a lot of information during the journey. The group always stayed together in a convoy. The tour is highly recommended.
An experience, you learn a lot about the city and have fun. But it's not cheap. It's recommended and definitely worth the experience.
Mistook the date with the Trabifahrt and wanted to cancel or rebook the whole thing (for 5 people). Nowhere did I get an answer or help . So the Trabifahrt took place on 08.07.2023 without us and the € 295.- were gone and Tripadvisor was happy . Will definitely not book here again !!!
We were warmly welcomed by Micha, who gave a brief introduction to the process and the manual of the Trabi's. Then it started already. Micha gives very precise instructions over the radio, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. You're a little busy when you're driving with manual gears for the first time. The route is also very nice. The main sights are visited and there is a small stop for a possible driver change at the Hygiene Museum. The tour was really fun. We would definitely book again.
A great experience! The grinning faces of (tourist) passers-by are worth gold. But certainly not for beginners so without assistants and disc brakes :-)
I was the only customer that day, and so instead of guiding from a car in front, Marius, an engineering student at TU-Dresden, sat next to me and guided me on our tour of Dresden in a classic Trabi. Until you've actually driven a Trabant you'll never appreciate how good the Yugo was! Marius' English was very good and he was an excellent tour guide. This experience is unique and highly recommended!
