Start your day with a comfortable pick-up service directly from your accommodation located in the heart of Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia.
A charming riverside town known for its beautiful bridge over the Tâmega River, the São Gonçalo Church, and its traditional pastries. Enjoy a short technical stop and admire the local scenery.
First Wine Estate – Guided Tour and Wine Tasting Arrive at a prestigious Douro Valley wine estate (such as Quinta do Val Moreira, Quinta do Panascal, or similar). Take part in a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, followed by a tasting of three local wines.

- You can be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos Cities are outside pick-up limits)
- Our pick-ups happen between 8am & 8:45am (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise to always aim to be ready at 8am in advance.
- Wineries or order of wineries visited may differ depending on their availability.
- Visits at the wineries and river cruises are not fully private and open to external participants.

Fantastic day trip from Porto and a great way to spend the final day of our holiday! Rita and Andre were a great combination of guide and driver! Rita was so enthusiastic and full of joy that it lifted everyone’s spirt from minute 1! Having a good driver really helped on narrow bridges!! Great value for money with plenty of wine and really delicious lunch !

On August 10th. We were a small private group of eight, which made the entire day feel intimate and tailored. Our tour guide Carlos's knowledge, warmth, and passion for the region elevated every moment. From the scenic drive through the valley to the hands-on experiences, he made us feel like honored guests rather than tourists. One of the highlights was visiting during harvest season at the Quinta & Monte vineyard and immediately meeting Ricardo giving us a unique opportunity of cutting grapes straight from the vines, the kind of moment you don't expect but never forget. The authenticity continued with a family-prepared lunch, where every dish tasted like tradition, care, and home. It was breathtaking in the simplest, most genuine way. Truly one of a kind! This tour wasn't just a day trip; it was a self solo birthday gift and it is now a memory instilled forever. I'm still in awe. Thank you Carlos for a remarkable experience.
We had an absolutely fantastic wine tour with Carlos from Living Tours! 🍷 From start to finish, the experience felt really friendly, personal and relaxed. We visited two vineyards, both of which were fantastic, and the staff at each were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. One of the highlights was being able to cut the grapes ourselves, which made the experience feel even more authentic. We were also treated to a homemade Portuguese meal, which was absolutely amazing and made the day feel really special. Quinta do Monte Travesso Country-Houses & Winery was a particular highlight. The views were absolutely outstanding, both at the vineyard and throughout the journey there. It really felt like we were seeing parts of Portugal that you simply wouldn’t experience on a typical tourist trip. Carlos was brilliant throughout — friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole day feel personalised rather than like just another organised tour. We genuinely couldn’t recommend this tour enough. If you’re booking, ask for Carlos, you definitely won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful Douro Valley tour with Ana. Her energy and English is amazing, and the stops were just perfect. After a convenient pickup, we stopped at a gorgeous town and then drove into the beautiful Douro Valley for a scenic bout tour, followed by two special Quintas (vineyards) with tours and tastings. The second one also served a delicious lunch. The adults loved it and our two teenage girls were nicely accommodated as well. I recommend the small group tour which allowed for some spectacular stops. Thank you, Ana and Douro Valley tours!
