Exceptional Tour

Max was a knowledgeable guide who was passionate about art and the history behind each painting we saw. It was a private tour so we could stop and rest when needed or linger over art we loved such as the Caravaggios. Superb experience.

Amazing private tour

Giorgio was an absolutely incredible guide in a beautiful, under visited spot in Rome. I highly recommend this tour!

A hidden gem.

The art was great to see in its ‘home’ setting. Our guide was a font of knowledge about the family and the collection they amassed over the many years. The D-P is not on the usual list of must see places. I have been to Rome way more than a dozen times and while walking past the palace I had not thought to visit any of those times. This was/ is a mistake. Book a tour. We were delighted.

Historic building that not everyone knows

I visited this historic building in the center of Rome. It's beautiful. A riot of inlays, walls decorated and covered with the best fabrics. Beautiful furniture, worked ceilings and antique and original parquet. Just beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Even the curtains are original

You get a good impression of life in the palace by booking the private rooms. The collection is abundant with very chosen exhibits and a bit much with the duration.

Extroadanary Palace

We stumbled upon this magnificent palace in the heart of Rome, close to the Pantheon. Allow 2-3 hours at a leisurely pace to absorb the overwhelming grandeur of this exceptional palace, drenched in history and artefacts/painting collection. Allow also for the private rooms only an extra 2 euro. I have been to Rome many times and walked past this palace every time, not knowing that it existed.......my partner noticed it. Well worth the visit.

Not to be missed

My wife and I visited the Palace Gallery and the private apartments on our short visit to Rome last week. I cannot believe that I had missed visiting this place on the innumerable times I had been beforehand in Rome. The apartments are magnificent but, in my view, more so is the gallery. The Gallery is a feast of paintings by among others, Raphael, Caravaggio, El Greco, Brueghel, Velasques, Caracciolo and sculptures by Bernini and Algardi. The visit is worth every cent and more. Must not be missed if one has enough time (we spent over 3 hours).

Wonderful palace still owned by the original family; wonderful paintings but some are hard to see

This is a delight to come to - not crowded! After all the other things in Rome which are mobbed it was very pleasant to be here. Only complaint is that the pictures are hung so tightly together that it's somewhat hard to see the ones on the top tiers. I would like more commentary. One cn visit the private apartments for an extra fee, but we did not do that. It has a totally different feel to it from more commercial museums. Great floors and wallpapers and fabrics - not in perfect condition of course, but that's adds to their charm and veracity.

This was an incredible experience...

This was an incredible experience. Damiano was so knowledgeable not only did he know the history of the painting, but he also told us about the time, the politics, and the people. He spent three hours with us and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. If you like art and you like art history, I highly recommend this tour.
