Industrial city Al Mesaieed is a commercial town in Al Wakrah Municipality in the state of Qatar, about 36 kilometers south of Doha. Had a 6 hour layover, landing at 5am. They hooked me up with a private Dune bashing tour for $150 on no advance notice. Picked me up at 6 and back to the airport 3.5 hrs later so I could make my connection. Sajid was my guide. He was amazing. I did the optional buggy excursion for 30 minutes also. It was decent but the real deal was bashing the dunes in the Land Rover with Sajid. Way beyond my expectations. Maybe it’s because it was so early but we were the only car out there. Landscape was spectacular and the ascents and descents were way beyond what I expected. Definite must do if you have a long layover.
I was visiting Doha with some friends and we did the desert tour with Rashed! It was the best day and he showed us all the stops without making us feel hurried or pressured. It was wonderful and I highly recommend! 10/10 experience

We had a really good time riding at speed through the dunes. We did sand bashing on a board and it was a lot of fun. Lots of great photos as well! Iqtidar was very nice, supportive and make the whole trip feel great!

We had a wonderful time, our guide Mohammed was excellent and very informative generally about Doha, our trip and life there. We were a bit surprised the Dune Bashing cost extra. It was great to have the private tour.
