Itinerary
After pickup at your Seoul hotel in the morning or afternoon, drive to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). En route, your guide shares expert commentary on the dividing line between North and South Korea. Get out at Imjingak Park along the banks of Imjin River to see artillery and war artifacts that were used during the Korean conflict before proceeding to Freedom bridge, where nearly 13,000 Korean POWs crossed on their return back home to South Korea. Reboard the coach and head to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, located beneath the border of North Korea and South Korea. See where the South Koreans have blocked the actual Military Demarcation Line with concrete barricades, and browse photographs and war artifacts at the DMZ exhibition hall. Your next stop is Dora Observatory, where you can use binoculars to get a glimpse of North Korea. Listen to your guide explain daily life in the village of Kijongdong across the river. Continue by coach to Dorasan Station, a historic spot that not only marks the division, but also serves as a gateway for exchanges between the north and south. Pass by the Unification Village, a small farming community that specialized in creating soybean milk, traditional soy sauce and corn goods.

Lily from Seoul City Tour was one of the best guides we could have hoped for on this tour. A tour that covers so many important historical moments needs a guide who knows how to explain them clearly, and that is exactly what Lily did. I also really appreciated the fact that she explained all the details while we were still on the bus. It made everything much easier because, once we arrived at the monuments and buildings we were visiting, we were free to explore and take in the atmosphere without having to focus on lengthy explanations. I can only thank Lily for all the knowledge she shared with us, always with such positive energy, and Mr. Lee (I hope I got his name right!) for his excellent driving throughout the tour!
The DMZ tour was amazing and informative. We were glad we did this tour and thanks to our tour guide amazing Grace. 170m near to the border was thrilling not to forget the real life experiences shared from the Defector. You truly are an inspiration!!!
We went on the DMZ tour with Lily from Seoul city tours as our guide. She made the day very memorable, she has a unique energy and really made an effort to give us an amazing experience. It was a very informative tour and we learned a lot about the history of the DMZ and Korea in general
Lily from Seoul City Tour was great and energetic through out the whole tour
Our guide was Lily from Seoul City Tour. She was brilliant, lots of energy and her English was very good and easy to understand. She took photos of everyone on the suspension bridge from different angles. She took the time to learn everyone’s names and try to talk to everyone. She saw that it would be raining later in the day and booked the North Korean observatory first so we could see the view before it rained. Once it rained, it was cloudy and people arriving couldn’t see. We are from Australia. The meeting point was easy from the blue line/number 4 line. There is a 7-11 there so you can grab some snacks since there’s not a lot of places open for breakfast in the morning. You can not eat on the bus but you can have coffee/juice/water.
Lily from Seoul City Tour was fantastic. She took the effort to learn everyone’s name on the tour and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!
