DMZ Tour: NK Defector Meet up, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge

Description
This tour offers more than a standard visit to the Korean DMZ — it is a journey into one of the most historically significant and divided places in the world. The DMZ stands as a powerful symbol of the Korean War and the ongoing separation between North and South Korea. During the tour, you will visit key landmarks including Imjingak Park, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, and Dora Observatory, where you can look across the border into North Korea. These sites bring history to life and provide a deeper understanding of the Korean Peninsula. What truly sets this tour apart is the rare opportunity to meet a North Korean defector and hear their powerful firsthand story. This personal perspective offers insight far beyond what typical tours can provide. With no shopping stops and optional visits to Gamaksan or Majang Lake Suspension Bridge, this tour combines history, authenticity, and unforgettable scenery into one meaningful experience.

Katie was a blast! My friend and I had a fantastic time on this tour. It was nice learning about the history as we road to the tour location. Katie is a very friendly guide and times the tour very well. We did not feel rushed but also didn't feel like we were there for too long. She also gave us some useful insights about things to do and places to eat while in Seoul. My friend and I enjoyed some conversations about classic K-Pop groups with Katie as well. Thanks a bunch Katie, Team Ivy from New Jersey thoroughly enjoyed the sushi restaurant 😀 Andrea and Justin ❤️

My husband & I knew we wanted to visit the DMZ when visiting South Korea. We’re so glad we did! We had the most amazing experience with Haeim (Heather) aka “Mama B”! She has only been guiding for 6 months but seems more like 6 years. She was bubbly, kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable in her subject matter! From the moment she picked us up, I knew it was going to be an incredible tour! We stopped at the suspension bridge, went through the checkpoint at the DMZ, toured the 3rd tunnel and ended at the overlook/observatory. If you are on the fence about booking a tour—do it—but book this one! Maybe you’ll be fortunate enough to have Heather, listen to her perspective & walk away with the same core memories! We love you Mama B! ❤️🫰🏼💙🫰🏼❤️🫰🏼💙🫰🏼❤️🫰🏼💙🫰🏼❤️

Great experience on this tour. It was both heartwarming and heartbreaking to experience Korea’s history so closely and learn more about everything the country has been through. Definitely an experience that stays with you. My only wish was that we had a little more than 10 minutes for lunch 😂
