We will take you to the oldest part of the historic center and walk through an unconventional itinerary: there is much to see in Genoa, but you must be willing to observe every detail because the beauty of the old city is more easily revealed to those who are determined to discover it. We will take you to the most fascinating spots of the city, which you will hardly find alone and we will make you travel through time by telling stories accompanied by the sound of a small guitar.

Wonderful experience! To celebrate a 40th anniversary we relied on this Storyteller Service and it was a winning choice! Alessandro, the storyteller, guided us through the history of the city of Genoa with joy and pride and the songs he wrote are really very beautiful. An experience to try because a guide can tell you the story.....but music adds magic. Thank you so much
Alessandro was an excellent tour guide. He relayed the history of Genoa to us in a very unique way. He not only told us many stories, but also sang songs which he composed himself, bringing the folklore of this city to life. He took us to places which tourists would not normally see. The history of the battle between the Republic of Genoa, and that of Pisa in the 13th century as well as that of the old wall around Genoa (which I did not know excisted) was very interesting. Highly recommended.
Too long ,, lacks variety. Wonderful guide took us through the historical small back alleys of Genoa. After an hour and a half we felt, that we would like to return to the more modern side of Genoa. Appreciated his songs and lyrics, but three of them would have been enough. I am suggesting to the wonderful guide, to make half of the three plus hour tour, first half old historical and second half the modern side of Genoa. Manfred
Thanks for your review. Well the description talks about historical center, the biggest in Europe and very concentrated with plenty of interesting sites, the modern part, less walkable, is not suitable for this tour. Thanks for your advice but as a local, I don't think it's a good one
Our tour guide Alessandro was very knowledgeable and it was a nice touch with songs and guitar playing The tour focused on some areas of Genoa that we wouldn’t have found on our own Well done!!!
The tour was really lovely, Alessandro’s songs are really interesting and it was great to get a glimpse of the city’s history!
What a delightful morning with Alessandro! He had amazing insights into the city's history, architecture, and culture. We appreciated his original songs and highlighting good restaurants and cafes that we passed along the way.
My wife and I shared a wonderful three hours with Alessandro touring Geonva while listening to the fascinating tales of the history, culture, and events that shaped this amazing city. Alessandro is a consummate storyteller who weaves a tapestry of architecture, historical perspectives, cultural and political changes, and the people who shaped Genova. Whether by his prose, personal experiences, or original music, the time flew by, and we were mesmerized by the wonders of Genova. BIG Thanks, Alessandro, for making this City come alive!
Very interesting visit and Alessandro is a very knowledgeable and nice guide and storyteller. Definitely recommend!
For anyone considering a visit to Genoa, I cannot recommend Alessandro's tour highly enough. It's a unique and enriching way to explore the city, combining the power of music with the beauty of Genoa's historic sites. I visited the beautiful city of Genoa for a two-week law fellowship where I had the incredible opportunity to join Alessandro's tour, and it turned out to be the highlight of my stay. Alessandro's ability to tell the city's stories through his songs was truly impressive, and it made the tour an unforgettable experience. Each stop on the tour was paired with Alessandro's beautiful music, which not only entertained but also educated us about Genoa's rich history and vibrant culture. His songs added a unique dimension to the tour, transforming ordinary sightseeing into a journey through time. The sites we visited were breathtaking, and Alessandro's engaging storytelling made each one come alive with historical significance. I was so enamored with the city and the tour that after my fellowship ended, I met my mom in London and convinced her to come back to Genoa with me where together we experienced Alessandro's tour. Spending the day on the tour with my mom was incredibly special, and we both loved how Alessandro's music and stories enriched our understanding appreciation of the city. It was, without a doubt, one of our favorite days in Europe. This tour will leave you with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to this amazing city!
Alessandro was Absolutely Amazing!! This tour did not disappoint! I was so excited to experience a tour of the city that was off the beaten path! There is so much hidden treasure in all the little nooks and crannies that you can not, and will not find on your own. It was so awesome to hear the history of this brilliantly historical town. I really felt like I traveled back in time, as Alessandro so colorfully painted the picture of what took place back in the day...and his beautiful, and personally written, songs was the delicious cherry on top! I Loved this tour! I highly, highly recommend it to everyone! Ciao!
