I knew very little about Derry apart from the Troubles. I loved the views from the Walls of the meandering river, it reminded me of Inverness. I learned such a lot from David Douglas on the walk; he explained history without overwhelming us and I gathered from him and other people a spirit of looking to the future. I bought two well written booklets of walks around Derry, written by Richard Doherty, with stunning detailed illustrations by Tim Webster. I certainly want to visit Derry again.
Thank you for your kind words about my tour and glad you also enjoyed the little booklets I sell that enhance a guests visit. Hope you get the chance to return soon. David
A huge thank you to David Douglas from Derrie Danders for an excellent walking tour of the Waterside and City Walls of Derry today. David's knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought the city's history to life in a way that was both engaging and informative. He tailored the tour perfectly to our group's interests, keeping it relaxed and enjoyable throughout. The pace was ideal, allowing everyone to take in the sights and ask questions. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended – thank you, David!
Thank you Gordon for your kind words and great to hear that your group enjoyed their tour with me. It was especially enjoyable to get the opportunity to meet your group at the Waterside Hub/ Derry/Londonderry train station and show your group some of the lesser visited Waterside area first, an area where I grew up. Best wishes, David

Thank you Jim for your kind words and glad you enjoyed your tour with me. It was good to meet you and your travelling companions. David
We loved this tour with David. We would never have been able to appreciate all of the different aspects of the City Walls without his guidance. We could tell that he’s truly passionate about his home town, Derry. David also gave us lots of tips about other things that we could do after the tour. We took his advice and went to the Guildhall to see the noble peace prize and then walked over the peace bridge. If you’re visiting Derry, do this tour. You can’t go wrong.
Thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed my tour and also were able to appreciate more of the city's attractions too. Best wishes, David

David lead a tour for myself and colleagues around the Derry City Walls. David is a wealth of information about the history of Derry City. We were introduced to areas of the city which we had never explored before and got an opportunity to view the Christmas Tree display in St Columb's Cathedral and see the history around Cecil Frances Alexander. Altogether a wonderful tour and I would highly recommend David and Derrie Danders. Thank you David
