I could not recommend this tour enough to anyone visiting Derry. Our tour guide John McKinney was excellent, giving his first hand account of the troubles and Bloody Sunday. Thank you John.
A very moving and informative tour from an inspirational man. Umbrellas were kindly provided when it rained.
The hike was unusually interesting. In addition, he was the guide brother of one of the murdered people on Black Sunday. I am 70 years old and have been interested all my life in politics and events in the world. The guide gave a version I didn't hear on the 70s news. The news was then usually characterized by a British view. In addition, on questions from me, we got a status on the current situation. Recommended for all peanut strongest!
This was a great insight into the Bloody Sunday Massacre from a brother of someone killed. It was not only a great explanation of the trouble that led to the massacre, the investigation, but also the and the peace process that has resulted. It was very truthfully and tastefully told.
Hands down the best tour I’ve had in Ireland. The personal story and depth of historical context and knowledge made this such a highlight!
We enjoyed a very informative and relaxed tour from our knowledgeable local guide.
Super in depth !! Our guide lived through Bloody Sunday and had personal insight - was still able to crack jokes even though the subject was heavy
Excellent tour John our guide gave us a great insight into the history and how things developed in Derry
Passionate and hugely informative tour
Our guide was informative and passionate about us understanding the troubles. His direct experiences and that of his family and friends created a valuable experience for all of us on his tour. The amazing accounts in each location bought it all to life. Highly recommended tour guide. Mr Bourke.
