This Pearl Harbor Tour is great for those interested in WWII history and especially aviation history. This tour takes you to the heart of Hawaii, where Pearl Harbor is located. The Arizona Memorial is the most visited tourist destination in Hawaii. The USS Arizona Memorial Monument is the resting place for 1,177 American sailors and marines. This tour includes the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, America’s only aerial battlefield. Visit hangars that were present during the attack on December 7, 1941. View the bullet holes made by the attacking Japanese aircraft on that day. Take in many historic aircraft from WWII right up to today, including iconic aircraft such as the Japanese A6M2 Zero fighter, the B-17 Flying Fortress bomber, the F-14 Tomcat fighter, the SBD Dauntless dive bomber, and many more. On the way back to Waikiki, you will be taken on a short drive-through tour of downtown Honolulu. We have multiple location pick-ups (Waikiki, airport, and Honolulu port) for this tour.

The Arizona Memorial is the most visited attraction in the State of Hawaii. This memorial is built over the wreck of the battleship USS Arizona. It is a memorial to everyone who died in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This attack pulled the United States into WWII. The memorial is also a memorial to the 1,177 sailors and marines who died aboard the USS Arizona when a Japanese bomb detonated her ammunition magazine. Almost half of the 2,403 US military personnel died in the attack. The Arizona Memorial spans the wreck of the battleship but does not touch it. The Arizona Memorial is only accessible by US Navy-operated shuttle boat.
Located on Ford Island in Pearl Harbor is the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. This aviation museum is unique because it is located on an aerial battlefield. The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum inhabits three buildings of the former Naval Air Station Pearl Harbor. The two hangars and the administrative building with the control tower were all present during the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. Damage from the attack can still be found on Hargar 79. Today the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum houses a growing collection of aircraft dating from WWII to today. Among them are some truly rare aircraft. The museum also features a flight combat simulator and a rotating exhibit housed in a separate area called the Raytheon Pavilion.
Statue of King Kamehameha ( Short Stop ) In front of Aliiolani Hale, the home of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii is the golden statue of King Kamehameha the Great. Kamehameha the Great was the man who united the Islands of Hawaii under his rule, becoming Hawaii's first King and the founder of the Kingdom of Hawaii. State Capitol Building ( Pass By ) The Hawaii State Capitol Building was purpose-built to be the seat of power for the State of Hawaii. The State Capitol is a Bauhaus-inspired design with a lot of symbolism built into it. For example, the pillars represent the trunks of Royal Palms which are a Hawaiian symbol of governance. Each pillar represents a Hawaiian Island. Iolani Palace ( Pass By ) Commissioned by King David Kalakaua, Iolani palace is the only Royal Palace on American soil. Built in 1879, the palace served as the seat of power for the Kingdom of Hawaii until the overthrow of its last Queen in 1893.
Washington Place ( Pass By ) Was once the home of Hawaii's last monarch Queen Liliuokalani. The home was built in 1847 in the Greek Revival style, similar to many homes in the antebellum South. Washington Place was built by the Dominis family. John Dominis was the husband of Queen Liliuokalani. Upon his death, ownership of the residence passed to her. After the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy, Liliuolkalani lived the rest of her days in this house. After her death, it became the residence of Hawaii's Governors. Kawaiahao Church ( Pass By ) Kawaiahao Church is the oldest church in Honolulu. This church, also known as the Westminster of Hawaii, once served as the main church for the Hawaiian Royal Family. The church was designed by Hiram Bingham, who led the first Christian mission to Hawaii in 1821. To help with converting native Hawaiians to Christianity, his mission committed the Hawaiian language to writing and creating the Hawaiian language Bible.
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is a federal cemetery built in the caldera of an extinct volcano. Known by the locals as Punchbowl Cemetery, the site is the final resting place of American soldiers and veterans of wars ranging from WWI to today. The centerpiece of this cemetery is the memorial to those veterans of wars involving America who are missing in action or were buried at sea. The central figure of this memorial is the statue of Lady Columbia. Below the sculpture is an excerpt from Abraham Lincoln's letter to Mrs. Bixby. Many of those who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor are buried in this cemetery, including many whose remains are unidentified.

Please ensure your cell phone is charged and with you; we can reach you if needed. We will contact you on the day before the tour to confirm pickup details. If you are on a ship, please contact us on the day before the tour for pickup details. If you have an international phone number, please contact us after 5:00 PM on the day before the tour to confirm pickup details. No bags of any kind, brand, size, color, or for any reason are allowed to enter the Pearl Harbor visitor center. Please absolutely bring no bags with you. Bags may not be left inside our tour vehicle. If you have a bag, you will need to check them into the visitor center bag storage. This costs money, and you may have to wait in a long line to check in your bags. You may lose a portion of your tour, or your Arizona boat ticket may expire. Please do not bring any bag of any size, color, or brand with you for any purpose. (Clear see-through bags are permitted). We do not carry nor do we have space for luggage of any kind. It will not fit in the vehicle. Tour and ticket times may change based on traffic, federal government regulations, or new Pearl Harbor restrictions. We try our very best to keep to the itineraries by reserving tickets for our guests in advance, however, we ask for your understanding in route / schedule changes as there may be factors beyond our control. The U.S. Navy has the right to cancel the Arizona Memorial shuttle boat at any time due to public safety. However, we have no control over the U.S. navy or other organizations in charge. Ford Island is part of the active military base, Joint Base Pearl Harbor – Hickam, and the U.S. Government has the right to restrict access to Ford Island without notice. This is beyond our control, and we follow the federal agency's rules. Tours are non-refundable if the national park service or navy decide to cancel boat ride programs due to mechanical issues, dangerous weather, or other safety concerns. If your pickup location is the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, after Pearl Harbor, you will be returned directly to the airport, and the others will continue on to go on a drive through of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, as the airport is miles before these locations

Roland our driver was awesome. He was very attentive to my mother who has trouble walking. Very convenient already having reservations and tickets. The tour if the city after Pearl Harbor was great.
David was great. Told great stories and insights into the drive to and from Pearl Harbor. I was on aware that the guide did not give us a tour once we were there.
WORST “TOUR “EVER. There was no “tour”. Someone (Naomi?) picked us up at the airport a half hour late and DUMPED us off with directions to “see the line attendants in the blue shirts” then sped off saying someone will pick us up at 1oclock. Despite attempts to contact Viatours 24/7 assistance, no one responded to my multiple texts. After we were picked up at 1 oclock-by someone else-our tickets for the aviation museum (which we paid for and was told that our guide would give us at the museum) was emailed to us. We were already picked up and out of the museum!! I’m waiting to see how Viatour handles this disaster of a day
Dear Diane, Aloha Your review is completely wrong. The pickup time in Waikiki was 9:30 AM. The normal pickup time at the airport is around 10:00 - 10:30 AM, depending on traffic. Because the original vehicle was in an accident, a separate vehicle was sent to pick you up at the airport. The vehicle arrived just before 10:00 AM (We have GPS to verify this). You were picked up almost privately, just you and another couple in the van. The driver took you into the Visitor Center and briefed you regarding the tour that you had as well as your pickup time. Please note that when inside Pearl Harbor, the driver is alotted a specific amount of time to brief you according to Federal regulations. The tickets for the Aviation Museum were sent to you, but you chose to leave Pearl Harbor early and not use them. Your original departure was supposed to be 4:00 PM. You requested to be picked up at 1:00 PM, which we accommodated with your request. Your service was supposed to be from Pearl Harbor to be dropped off at the airport. You were given an additional 2-hour extra service. To take you on a scenic tour of Honolulu, which would be an additional $500 service, and because of you, the other couple had to do the same thing. We feel that it is a shame that we provided more than what was included with your tour at no additional cost and you still put a 1-star review.
The trip was amazing, what made our trip even better was our tour guide/ driver Robert Street! I highly recommend if you can get him do yourselves a favor and ask for him. He even played Ukulele at some of our stops. Was very thorough and very knowledgeable of the cities history. Thank you for such a memorable trip Robert!!! Kenny & Seva Kaiser
