Delft Walking Tour with a Born-and-Raised Local Guide

Description
Meet your local guide in the heart of Delft for a 1.5-hour walking tour through one of Holland's best-preserved historic cities. Explore the streets that inspired Johannes Vermeer, the "Master of Light." Learn about the assassination of William of Orange — shot dead inside his own home, just steps from where you'll be standing. Discover the secrets of the Royal Crypts beneath the New Church. Hear about the 200 breweries that once fueled this city, the global reach of the VOC, and the surprising true origins of Delft Blue ceramics. Find out why a medieval prison was hidden inside a 17th-century City Hall. And meet Hugo Grotius — child prodigy, jailbreaker, and the man who essentially invented international law. We start at the Grotius statue on the Markt, in front of the New Church, and end exactly where we began. Fully wheelchair accessible. No food, drinks, or entry tickets included.

It was an awesome trip around the city. The tour guide was super friendly and very well prepared.
Last Saturday we had an incredible tour with Menno. This was actually my second time booking a tour with him, and it was somehow even better than the first! Menno is genuinely the nicest tour guide I have ever had; he is extremely knowledgeable about the city and brings so much infectious enthusiasm to the experience. Anyone who signs up for a tour with him needs to strap in for a performance like never before. To top it all off, he was kind enough to take us on a special detour to a windmill that actually started spinning right when we arrived. It was incredible to see it in action -honestly, probably the most authentic Dutch experience I will ever have in my life!
Good tour guide, knew a lot about the city. Overall a nice guy to talk to as well.
