The trip was well...

The trip was well organized, the driver was professional, van was comfortable, and the tours were all amazing. Impossible to be hungry after this tour. The Lambrusco tour was great, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cheese and Parmesan farm were incredible, and eating lunch in the vinegar producers home was a surreal homey experience.

A Great Day in Emilia-Romagna

One of the best day trips I've ever taken. We visited a cheese farm, a traditional balsamic producer, had a fantastic agriturismo lunch, and finished at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello — a genuinely perfect mix of food, culture, and excitement. Everything was well organized, the guides were knowledgeable and passionate, and the food and tastings alone were worth the price. The Ferrari Museum was the cherry on top. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the region. You won't be disappointed!

Too expensive but quite a good tour

Good event with very good tour guides, but at over €800, it is way too expensive!!!! The balsamic and Lambrusco tasting was excellent

A nice way to spend the day outside the city but not worth the price we paid for it.

We booked this tour expecting a premium experience given the very high price point — about $450 USD per person — but unfortunately it did not feel worth the cost. The day also started off poorly because the pickup situation was a complete mess. Our tour was confirmed, and we waited at the original designated pickup location, only to later realize there had been a new message with an updated meeting point. The updated location was difficult to find, which created unnecessary stress and confusion at the start of the day. The Parmesan cheese portion was by far the most interesting and informative part of the tour. We learned a lot about the production process, and it was the one stop that felt detailed and authentic. That said, we were disappointed to see that the cows appeared to spend their entire lives indoors without access to pasture or grass, which left us feeling sad. The balsamic vinegar stop was enjoyable but felt shorter and less in-depth than we expected. We would have liked more explanation and interaction during that portion of the tour. Lunch there was also hit-or-miss — one of us enjoyed it, while the other thought it was just okay. The wine tasting and museum felt mostly like filler. The museum at the winery was not especially memorable, and the tasting itself did not add much value to the overall experience. We got to see the vintner’s museum collection of old stuff but nothing about the actual process of making wine. The Ferrari museum is exactly what it sounds like: a large collection of Ferrari cars and memorabilia. If you are a major car enthusiast, you will probably enjoy it much more than we did. For those who are not particularly interested in cars, it can feel repetitive and not especially engaging. Our driver, Alberto, was polite enough, but there was very little interaction throughout the day. He mainly transported us silently from one location to another and did not provide much commentary, energy, or personality, which made the experience feel less engaging than we expected for a guided tour at this price point. Overall, while there were a few highlights, the experience did not justify the extremely high price tag for us.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the experience did not fully match your expectations. Regarding the pickup, the meeting point remained the same as originally confirmed at booking, piazza XX Settembre in front of NH De La Gare hotel's main entrance, and the day before the tour we also sent detailed instructions together with a map link to help guests locate it easily. We normally do not experience issues with guests finding the meeting point. We’re glad you enjoyed the Parmigiano visit. The dairy follows strict regional regulations and certified production standards regarding animal care and production methods, and the cows are very well cared for in a safe and controlled environment. As noted in the tour description, drivers in Italy are not licensed guides. Alberto did make efforts to interact during the day, but as there was limited engagement from your side, he focused primarily on ensuring a safe and smooth journey between locations. We also understand that experiences can be very subjective—some guests especially enjoy the Ferrari and winery portions, while others connect more with the food experiences. With a full-day small-group tour covering multiple premium experiences, it is natural that different travelers will have different highlights throughout the day. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.

Fabulous!

An absolutely wonderful tour of the cheese making facilities and the beautiful white cows that produce the milk for the cheese. Followed by an extensive tasting of the actual cheeses across several ages. Our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
