The Middleton Place tour is an all-inclusive experience at one of Charleston’s most beloved historic sites. Travel in a comfortable Ford Transit van with a maximum of 12 guests and a licensed guide. The tour includes an authentic Low-country lunch at the Middleton Place Restaurant, a Guided Garden Tour, House Tour, and Guided Beyond the Fields Tour ending at Eliza's House. Also available onsite are the stable yards showcasing the working side of Middleton Place where historic trades, skilled craftsmanship, and farm life come together in a live, immersive setting. Pick-up is at the Charleston Visitors Center. Additional guests may be transported to Magnolia Plantation/Drayton Hall simultaneously without affecting your experience. Lunch menu options include: shrimp and grits, sweet tea–brined chicken perloo, Chatel Farms burger, she-crab soup, fresh local artisan greens, and pecan pie. *Please note: a free personal tour guide for the day is NOT included.

The tour was very lovely, and our tour guide Nicholas was excellent. We booked the all-day tour including lunch. With lunch taking an hour and a half it left little time to explore sites on the plantation we would have liked to go back and see. We would highly recommend this tour to others.

We loved the Middleton plantation with Chicora tours. Our driver ,Darian was there early to greet us. She was friendly,knowledgeable and shared history of Savannah while driving. The Middleton gardens were beautiful. Lunch there was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and did a great job telling us the history of the plantation.

The time allotted for the tour could have been longer. Also, the facility tour guides varied as to the knowledge they had of the facility. When we visited the house was under repair, so not open for our tour. The facility grounds were nice for the time of the year we visited (late march).

We do make every effort to provide the most comprehensive Middleton Place experience available, and our tour currently allows for more time on site than any other operator. Regarding the house tour, guests are informed in advance that the Middleton Place house is closed for restoration until mid April. I understand that this may have impacted your experience, and I am sorry if it was disappointing despite that prior notice. I also appreciate your comments about the guides at Middleton Place. While we partner with the site to provide access to their programming, the staff and guided experiences on property are managed directly by Middleton Place and are outside of our control. The place is a nice location with some great historic information and evidence along side nice gardens. However, Lunch time was too early at 11:30 & apart from one guided beyond the fields finding our way around and running order so we ended up backwards and forwards trying to see things we wanted to. You have to ask questions in the house as there is no audio guide to follow.

All staff at the Middleton place were great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We would recommend this opportunity to see the Middleton Place to anyone.

Our driver was very friendly and accommodating. The plantation was a very interesting and beautiful place. The tour guides gave us great information that wouldn’t otherwise been known. Also, the food in the restaurant was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We would really recommend better signage at Middleton Plantation. Many confused people in the gardens. We missed the garden talk because we couldn’t find it soon enough. Lunch was very good. House tour good. We recommend an introductory video to give a better understanding of what you will see and tie it together. There was a video in the gift shop that could be used partially or as a whole. The transport service did a great job! We are glad we went.

Beautiful property, very poor signage in gardens or when trying to find restaurant or house museum. Several employees not involving those properties were essential in getting around. Lunch was more than expected with great service. Distributed maps need redesign and simplification.

Gardens are gorgeous even in the fall. Docents are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. House tour was above expectations. And, the meal, was yummy southern food. Minor concern was the lack of clarity of presentation locations although printed schedule was helpful.
