Haunted Dubrovnik decided to offer another treat for our guests who crave to hear many dark stories of the old town. This walking tour takes you through the dark history of this city, so you can expect to hear many stories about the nightlife in old times, its dance macabre, ghostly apparitions, forbidden love affairs, old beliefs in supernatural, cats and evil spirits, prison escapes and tortures and many other stories and tales that will intrigue your imagination. Learn about the infectious pestilence that visited Dubrovnik often in old times, hear the story of Dubrovnik's Romeo and Juliet, discover who were Dubrovnik's negromants, learn about noble families and some of their tragic destinies and explore old Pustijerna district which translates as the empty land. Let's explore the narrow, dark, back streets lit by evening lanterns. Hopefully, you will be enchanted by the magic and glamour that Dubrovnik radiates in the night.

Itinerary
We will first explore some of the main attractions, but soon we'll go into the shadows of the small, back and narrow streets to talk about the dark past of Dubrovnik.
You'll hear stories from the past of the life of Little Friars of Dubrovnik and the ghosts of nuns from the former nunnery across the street before we slip away into the back streets of the old city.
After the exploration of the hidden nooks and crannies, we'll emerge again into the openness of Stradun and end our tour in front of the elegant home of rectors from the past.

I wound up having a private tour, as the season hasn't started and it wasn't booked except for me. But what a treat! She really knows her stuff and gave me so much information! True crime, hauntings, dark tales… All of it really cool! Thank you again so much and good luck with your book!

Outstanding tour! She went over a lot of interesting spooky stories to go with the actual locations, fantastic! It’s the only spooky tour in Dubrovnik which surprised me as this city is very haunted. I will recommend to others and take it again if I come back .
Brilliant guide with some cool history and dark stories from the old town of Dubrovnik. I’d recommend to do it as the night time changes the whole atmosphere of the old town

A very interesting tour. Marija tells a mixture of ghost stories and historic tales of intrigue and scandals . I really enjoyed listening to the stories about Dubrovnik and I look forward to reading her book.

We were taken to so any interesting buildings that I never would have known about - we leant a lot and it was magical as the streets became darker and more mysterious
My family and I have traveled to all around Europe, and we do a ghostly sort of tour in every city. This tour was by far one of the best tours we’ve done. Marija was such a wonderful and engaging storyteller, giving the tour its spooky and mysterious vibe while also being very informative. She takes extra care by learning everyone’s names and fostering an amazing experience. We are planning on coming back again sometime soon to do another one of her tours!
