Amazing tour with a lot of insights & information by the tour guide. With several stops we really appreciate the different sides of the city !
We spent a wonderful day in Dar es Salaam, visiting the fish market, some historical sites and also a beach with local food.
Emma, our guide and Mohamed, our driver gave us an excellent half day tour of Dar. It was an great introduction to Tanzania from our cruise ship.
Aqeel is a great guide and coordinator. I was in daresalam with a group. Aqeel took a lot of interest in ensuring all was smooth. From arranging dinner for the group to coordinating the hotel accomodation , his service is very recommendable.

A worthy experience. Wealthy knowledge of city. Would love to have more exposure to see traditonal set up and cultural expose The beach was good experience as well as food tasting The fish market was an experience as well. Interacting with locals
It took us about 300m walk in the hot African morning sun from our ship to outside the port where the car was waiting for us. Then it took another 5 minutes to find the car as our name was put inside the car so we couldn't see it. The car was an old black Toyota Alphard with very good aircon. The driver (forgive me, forgot the name) didn't speak much as he was not a guide. We were on this tour without a guide. First he took us to a fish market. Someone suddenly showed up and showed us around and explained everything in English. Quite knowledgable, probably a "local" guide. We tipped the "guide". Then the driver took us to the National Museum of Tanzania, paid the entrance and accompanied us around. Quite interesting exhibits (including the Presidential Rolls Royce), but sadly both the museum and the exhibits are lack of maintenance and the place was rather hot. Next was a some kind of a souvenir center with pricey handicrafts. We asked the driver to take us to a more "touristic" souvenir market where we could buy caps, flags, etc. which he kindly did. After done with shopping, the driver said, "We're done, now I'll take you back to the port." So much for a "Dar Es Salaam city sightseeing private tour". Not much of the city was worth seeing, obviously.
The tour operator met us promptly, welcomed us, and gave us souvenirs upon arrival. Our driver/tour guide was very pleasant, respectful and showed us as much of the city as he could for the limited time we were there. The only issue was that the tour operator currently does not have access to get inside the port so we've had to meet them outside the gate. The walk there was a little long with a lot of vehicle traffic coupled with heat and humidity. The tour itself was fine.
Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you had a pleasant experience overall and that the out team met you promptly, provided souvenirs, and that your driver/tour guide was respectful and showed you around the city as much as possible given the limited time.
It was very interesting, I recommend it. We learned about Tanzanian history and have fun going to the Mall.
Aqeel is a great guy. Very helpful and goes out of his way to keep his passengers happy. We had an airport transfer at 5 am and there was no need for him to accompany us to the airport but he came. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best wishes Aqeel !
