Raqchi was a sacred site for pre-Inca and Inca cultures where the god Wiracocha, creator of the world according to many Andean cultures, was worshiped. The Huiracocha Temple was built of stone and adobe and measures 20 meters high. Currently only the walls remain.
La Raya, the highest point between Puno and Cusco, over 4,313 metres above sea level.
