Cuisine with Chef Adri, local and passionate about the Caribbean, Lemon Center

Description
The experience is special because it is not just any cooking class, but a cultural immersion in authentic Caribbean life. It takes place in a family atmosphere and real, like the classic Sundays where grandmother brings everyone together to cook, share and enjoy. We don’t just learn a recipe; participants learn about the history of the Costa Rican Caribbean, its Jamaican roots, cultural influence, traditional flavors and the meaning of food in local life. We cook step by step with fresh ingredients, using coconut milk and traditional spices, and ultimately share the table as a family, creating connection, learning and true memories of the Caribbean.

This class was very fun! The property was very cute with a great view. The food was simple, but delicious! We made rice, beans, chicken, and plantains. My partner and I both had seconds. The host explained so much about the culture, history, and food of the area. She was a great cook and a wonderful person to spend the day with. I hope to come back again and book more experiences with her.
We absolutely loved it. It was not only great learning how to cook, but hearing the history of Costa Rica. The food was delicious and the teacher was so lovely. It felt really personal and we enjoyed eating the delicious food with her and chatting. Would highly recommend!
