Description
Participating in a cooking course does not only mean learning new local recipes, but also deepening the true culture, customs and habits of a food type. - Starting from the Market, where the most important phase takes place. Guide to the right qualitative purchase: Selection of "Zero Kilometer" products, knowledge of the fresh seasonal product and deepening on the various types of use in the kitchen. -At work! Back at the restaurant all the participants will participate in the foreground throughout the preparation of Sicilian recipes, in a home-style just as per Sicilian tradition. Appetizers, first courses and second courses will be created with great family harmony all with a breathtaking view! -It's ready! After the preparation, the participants will sit in their seats to start the lunch prepared by them accompanied by two local homemade wines. -See you later! participants will receive a gift and the recipes of the lesson.

If I could give chef Massimo 6 stars, I would have. Everything he did exceeded our expectations. Everything we cooked was amazing and he was great at explaining every step. I had never had sun-dried tomato pesto and wow-amazing. The fish he cooked was fresh and tasted divine. I highly recommend him.
Massimo was fantastic, full of energy and Italian charm. From his advice when buying fresh produce to passing on tips when cooking. And the food…we had so much food to eat and drink. Was an experience I loved. Definitely recommend doing it. Grazie Mille Massimo 🤌🏽
The chef was a fount of information and a great host. We had a very friendly and enjoyable group to interact with. We can’t wait to try some recipes at home.
This cooking class was awesome! The whole group got along really well and Massimo made it a great environment! We started with a tour of the market and learned about local produce, fish, and meat before walking to the house. The view from the house was beautiful, so it was a very scenic way to make lunch! The cooking was really fun and the whole group agreed we learned a lot of skills and recipes that we would use again! The food tasted INCREDIBLE! We had plenty of time to eat and drink and hangout. It was just a really amazing time! We loved it! Lastly, there were two people with celiac in the group (gluten free) and we felt very safe and the accommodations were little things that allowed for us to still have all the food (ie no breadcrumbs in the meatballs for the two of us and gluten free pasta in separate water). We would highly recommend!
Our cooking class with Massimo in Taormina was one of the highlights of our trip. He made the experience so much fun while sharing an incredible amount of knowledge about Sicilian food and culture. The class was hands-on, relaxed, and perfect for cooks of any skill level. We also met wonderful people from all over, which made the experience even more memorable. If you’re visiting Taormina, I can’t recommend this class enough.

We were late in arriving, but we called chef Massimo and he responded with his location so that we were able to join the group. That was the beginning of one of the best experiences of our five week trip through Spain and Italy. The chef is so energetic, engaging, thoughtful and informative, such that the time flew way too quickly. After shopping for ingredients, we went to his beautiful home in the hills overlooking the ocean. He made sure that all of the group members were involved in the food preparation while all the time expounding on dos and don'ts as well as giving instructions and guidance. We made pasta from scratch, sun dried tomato pesto, caponata, mussels, meatballs wrapped in lemon leaves and sea bass. He and his assistants cooked the food while the group socialized, then we partook in the feast we helped create. This is no lie: this meal was one of the best of our trip, even better than that of a Michelin starred restaurant in Rome! We cannot praise and recommend chef Massimo enough to do the experience justice! Grazie mille, chef Massimo. Buono appetito!
Our class with Chef Massimo was a wonderful experience. The pace was quick and the class of 13 was broken down into smaller work groups so that all that needed to be accomplished was completed on time. Chef Massimo is high energy and we learned many valuable lessons from him. We also received copies of the recipes we made. We enjoyed our time at the class and recommend it.
One of the highlights of our trip to Sicily! Chef Massimo made the experience both fun and informative. The market tour was really interesting learning about picking flavorful and fresh produce. We made traditional Sicilian dishes like Caponata and sun dried tomato pasta. The views from his house are also amazing. Highly recommend!
WHAT a day! Great fun & very informative, in an AWESOME location. Chef Massimo was engaging, informative & fun, from the first tomato purchased, through the engaging cooking, to the delicious plentiful food & wine consumed! Chef's supporting staff worked tirelessly& silently behind the screens to ensure everything worked smoothly. A day not to be forgotten & highly recommended!
