Rekha and her family are absolute gems. They made sure I knew how to get there and immediately made me feel welcome. Rekha is a brilliant cook who meets you where you are, whether it's spice levels or cooking skills levels. You will gain skills from this course.
excellent! really welcomming, good food and she even made me a henna :) We got to meet the husband, the gramma...it was almost like visiting friends :)
We had a really fun afternoon learning a mix of recipes from Rekha, which we'll be cooking back at home. It was a delicious range of food, and really exciting to see how to make lovely dishes from scratch
We had a great with Rekha, learning a lot from the cooking class and especially enjoyed the hospitality. It was a very personal experience. We can highly recommend Rekhas Cooking Class.
Booking a cooking class was a last minute decision when we visited Udaipur and turned out to be one of the best. The hands on experience of cooking and then eating some beautiful Indian food made with really fresh ingredients with Rekha in her home kitchen was fabulous. Rekha was a lovely host who explained everything clearly and obviously has a passion for sharing her food and culture. Highly recommended.
What a marvelous time. Rekha and Aki were so welcoming. We prepared many delicious dishes with Rekha's gentle guidance and then ate a fabulous meal. She made this complicated cuisine completely accessible and was totally charming. We couldn't recommend her class more highly. Don't miss it if you have a few hours to spend in Udaipur.
We had a great time cooking with Rekha. She was a good teacher and she and her husband Akhilesh even helped us get to a kitchen supply store after the lesson to buy some Indian cooking implements. They were super gracious and hospitable. If you're reading this because you're thinking about booking a class with her, just do it, you won't regret it.
This was good, not great. I have done lots of tours cooking in a home kitchen, but this kitchen was not equipped for a cooking class from a space or a cleanliness perspective. We mostly watched the host cook. The host was kind and the food was delicious, but the experience should be either billed differently or conducted in a more conducive space.
This was honestly one of the best experiences we had in India! Rekha and her family welcomed us straight into their home and we had the best time cooking all the different Indian dishes and learning about their lives. I couldn't recommend this experience more, it was so wonderful.
