Como Food Tour

Description
Our 3 hour Como Food Tour provides a unique food tasting and cultural experience. Our professional English-speaking guides will give you the local insider view of the history, culture and architecture of this fascinating city, while enriching the tour with delicious food stops. Admire the principal monuments such as the Duomo, the “Broletto” and the church of San Fedele. Walk and discover more hidden corners in the medieval part of the town. Pause to taste the flavors most appreciated by locals. Visit a local “enoteca” to sample a selection of local wines accompanied by top-quality sliced meats. Sample high-quality extra virgin olive oil harvested in Lake Como and learn how it compares to one produced in Southern Italy. Sample local cheeses accompanied by delicious balsamic vinegar and, naturally, more wine. Before saying goodbye, our guide will stop at a local selected shop where you will end your tasting experience with a nice “cono gelato”.

What a great way to see & hear a bit about Como whilst enjoying delicious local Italian food along the way. Josephine was a great guide, very knowledgeable with an equal love for all things tasty!! Small group, intimate tastings at venues (no pressure to buy their products) & topped off by an above average pasta lunch on the waterfront. Highly recommend.
This tour is a must!! Our guide Alessandra was spectacular. She gave us such an historical overview of Como and each food tasting was wonderful!!
Food tour was so much fun - great food, great city and a great guide! We even went back to many of the stores for more!
Thanks for your feedback Jill! I will revert it to your guide!
The tour was incredible, and our host Josie was so knowledgeable about both the town of Como and its history, as well as the local food scene. I would definitely recommend if you have a few hours in Como!
Thanks David for your review! I will inform Josie too!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our time with Christina touring around Como. She was informative and very friendly. The food was delicious and we ended up taking quite a bit of goodies home with us to enjoy later with our family. Cannot recommend this tour enough!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Christina our guide was very knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of history and spoke somewhat about her childhood traditions growing up in Como. The food stops were great they included a pizza stop at a fabulous bakery. A wine cheese and ham tasting. An olive oil and vinegar tasting and finished with a lovely lunch. Would highly recommend this tour.
The trip was 75% history of Como and 25% Food. The food was just ordinary italian food. The guide was a very knowledgeable historian and a very unknowledgeable food expert. I have used Context Travel all over the world and they give you what they say they gonna give you. This is my first and last tour with tripadvisor. It was a waste of time and money.
We greatly enjoyed our city tour and our food experience. Our guide, Christina(?), was extremely knowledgeable, communicated very well and took very good care of her guests. The foods were excellent and typical of Italy and the region. Having dinner and listening to the cast warming up to present Othello at the theater next to the restaurant was an added bonus. The garden setting for dinner was lovely. As always, one of the best parts of the tour was meeting our fellow travelers and sharing with them as we ate.
Our guide "Christina" was very knowledgeable, and the area we toured through was a nice shopping place as well. We enjoyed it.

My fellow travelers and I had the pleasure of taking a tour this past week in Como with Maddalena. She is a lovely, personable young lady who has an extensive knowledge of all things Como. She told us all about the history of the city itself, shared in-depth information on notable historical sites Iike the Duomo, and shared many wonderful culinary delights with us. I cannot recommend her or the tour highly enough! We took the twilight tour, and we completely sated with delicious food from dolce to antipasti, pizza and focaccia to vino and salumi! Then....a lovely traditional pasta dinner! Grazie mille a tutti per una serrata bellissima!
