We toured during the heatwave and our guide, Valerio, did his best to keep us in the shade and well hydrated. It was very informative, he really knew his stuff, but also entertaining and never a dull moment!
Maria was a wonderful guide, clearly very passionate about Roman history and extremely knowledgeable. She shared so many historical details in a way that was engaging and never boring. The Colosseum and Roman Forum would have felt completely different without her explanations. I’ll forever remember Maria’s description of Rome being built like a lasagna! We visited in June, so it was very hot with a lot of walking. Definitely bring sunscreen and water.

After not being able to get official tickets for the Colloseum we decided we will get a tour booked with a guide through Klook. Our tour guide Patrizia from EcoArt Travel was lovely and so knowledgeable! It was nice to be able to just relax and have a guide to listen to while you are walking through the colloseum, roman forum and palatine hill. There is enough time to take pictures and a couple stops to fill up your water bottle. Can recommend and would book again!

The visit was decent however the ticket process with Get Your Guide provider was a bit complicated because they send you 3 reminders with bar codes to your email the WhatsApp your ticket )which they don’t explain) the guest services at the coliseum were exceptionally helpful. The tour also came with a download with audio, was difficult to load. The audio app at the coliseum was also a big disappointment. The place itself was amazing, inspiring and once in a lifetime.
