Itinerary
When visiting Rome, travelers will have the opportunity to explore some of the most iconic and historically significant landmarks in the world, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. These ancient sites provide a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur and splendor of ancient Rome. The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is a massive elliptical structure located in the heart of Rome. Built in the 1st century AD, it was once the largest amphitheater ever constructed. Adjacent to the Colosseum lies the Roman Forum, a sprawling complex that served as the heart of political, social, and commercial life in ancient Rome. The Forum was the center of the city's governance and hosted numerous important structures and buildings. Perched on the Palatine Hill, overlooking the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus, lies the Palatine Hill, one of Rome's seven hills. This historical site was the residence of emperors and aristocrats in ancient Rome.

Lots of information missing from the post. Our time slot was for 1030, as it’s summer and we are traveling with a baby. We received a message the night before on where to meet, and telling us we first had to spend an hour and a half at the Roman Forum, then we could go to the coliseum. The whole reason we booked a self guided entrance was we wanted to be quick, knowing we wouldn’t be able to spend all day in the sun with our baby. I replied to the message. They never responded so we showed up at our time slot. We then waited 15 min while they talked in a crowded area to other people who had booked as well. It was very unorganized and a lot of wasted time. They then wanted me to download an app to message me our tickets, I refused and they finally emailed them to me. Then they said we had to spend 2 hours at the Roman Forum first, and couldn’t enter the coliseum until 1230. I explained we didn’t want to see the forum, and intentionally booked a 1030 reservation so we could get the baby in and out before the heat of the day. They said there was nothing they could do, and we couldn’t enter until 1230. All that said, the tickets did get is in just fine and everything, but the page doesn’t represent the timeline well, which was very inconvenient when traveling with a family.
Good and very helpful people, when i was searching for the right metro i received a call and i was helped and welcomed very nicely. I understand money needs to come in, its just that about €70 is a lot for a place like this. Colosseum is not for making money but for awareness of what happened there. Much people went there for amusement in ancient Rome but those who were fighting gave there lifes and a lot of them in the Name of Jesus Christ, thats important to remember so my compliment for the cross that i saw inside, it was placed on a good spot and i saw a dove sitting next to it when looking at it. I prayed there i Jesus Name myself and asked God to help visitors realize what happend at this place in the past. For the reason of making people aware He will bless it and money will come automatically, no need for high prices, wanna atrackt more people? Share the truth about the persecution and share the gospel, then He will attrack more and more visitors and no worry bout money. We received the Gospel for free so no need to make money on that, lower the prices and share, He will take care of the rest. Be blessed!
The audio tour was hard to follow and locations were not well marked. The meeting point was difficult to find and explanation of signing into the app and where to go was not the best. Would opt for a human guided tour next time.
Very hospitable tour guides. We were confused when we arrived to the coliseum. Our contacts called us and pointed us to the right location.
This tour relies on your ability to use your own phone data to listen. When we booked we understood we would need our phones to listen to the audio, what we didn’t understand that if would have to stream live inside the colosseum where obviously we could not get reception. If we had been sent the links after paying but prior to getting to the colosseum we would have downloaded them. At any rate, we go to skip the line, which was very long, so the two stars is for that reason alone.
Pickup and the delivery of the tickets was very smooth. However, it wasn't clear on the ticket that we could only enter Palatine Hill and Roman Forum once. it was clearly stated about the Colosseum Arena, but the way i understood the ticket is that we could go the day before and the day after to Roman Forum/Palatine Hill Area. However, we were told at the gate that we could only enter Roman Forum ONCE, we couldn't go back AGAIN the day after. that's the part i didn't understand.
Unfortunately, we got lost using the metro and missed the guided tour. However, Raj was super helpful and friendly. He gave us a self guided option and instructed us quite well on how to walk the self guided tour of the colloseum and later the Roman Forum and Palatine Gardens.
It was the worst tour ever. The tour guide found my snap within two minutes which is uncomfortable. He stared at me for the whole tour...
Good afternoon, It is a audio guide tour. So, there is no option to see all the time to you. Audio guide can't see . You did a mistake , may be you are talking about the another tour that is not with us. Thank you .
Good information when we picked up the tickets and nice treatment
