Bruno was very knowledgeable and went at a pace that my 70+ year old parents could keep up with. We appreciated the local insight he shared.

Our tour took place during the university student parade(final day of the ‘quema’) so most attractions were closed(we had been warned of this). Despite this(maybe because of it) we had a wonderful tour where we got in sites into the city history and the students life and traditions. Our tour guide Mariana had attended Coimbra university so she knew first hand all the traditions and practices the students were going through. We found this very interesting and fun and Mariana explained in detail the origin of each tradition we witnessed. Despite the historical landmarks being closed, Mariana found ways to share fun facts from outside so we could get a sense of the historical importance of each landmark. Mariana was very well informed, patient will all our questions, and well connected with the local shops and vendors(she was able to introduce us to the local potters) We highly recommend this tour and Mariana!

Bruno was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge of the city, the history both past and present were informative and enlighten. His story telling gave the tour a bit of energy as if we were experiencing the city from a thousand years ago. We would highly recommend this tour. As a added bounce he started us at the highest point in the city and we moved down from there, meaning no climbing those city stairs.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are very happy to be part of your best memories on this trip to Coimbra. Best wishes for you and your family.
