Great experience! Parker was a fun, knowledgeable, and personable guide. Clearly Tahoe provides granola bars and water, which was a very nice perk I've not had on other kayak trips. Highly recommend this experience! Given the TripAdvisor booking cost, wish the kayaking was for more than 1.5 hours on the water. However, have since learned that booking directly with a company costs less than booking through a third party (makes sense) - will remember that for future trips.
Everyone at the company was very nice and helpful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting things about the lake and Nevada. The lake is amazing. However, for the cost, next time we will just rent kayaks or paddle boards and do our own thing. We have 2 teens and they would have loved to get out and swim, but that was not allowed.
This was our first trip to Tahoe, and this was the highlight of our visit. It was a unique perspective of the spectacular scenery of the lake, from looking down and seeing the rocks glide beneath your kayak to scanning up and taking in the beautiful water, boulders, and trees. It was peaceful to go on the 8am tour, and the kayaks were really easy to use. We loved the staff and our guide as well. We appreciated that we had someone get us right out to the rocks and to share some Tahoe tidbits along the way and to also get some free time to explore.
We had a terrible experience due to our guide Shahid. Our expectation was to have a fun kayak ride with an experienced guide who could provide interesting information about the lake. We have taken excursions and tours all over the world so this type of experience is not new to us. The worst part about the trip was the progressive political lecturing he spewed the ENTIRE trip. Nothing positive or interesting about the lake, fish, forest, animals, etc. It was a progressive political rant on climate change, past genocide, California paying bounties for indigenous scalps, and it just didn't stop. We kayaked painfully slow and he lectured the entire trip. The kicker, the guy must have mentioned tipping--when to tip, how to tip, and why to tip at least ten times. It was miserable. On a positive note, the tour company Clearly Tahoe was professional, friendly, and efficient.
Great experience and felt completely safe being a solo female traveler. After finding the garage just behind the building, all was a wonderful trip. Everyone from the host in the shop, van driver to the beach, and Carter who led the kayak tour were fantastic. He’s willing to take multiple photos for you to share with friends and for keepsake and also very knowledgeable of Lake Tahoe. Highly recommend.
Clearly Tahoe was wonderful to work with in adressing the accessibility needs to our daughter. The staff was friendly, helpful, flexible and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time on the lake.
Kayak distance is short. Spend 30 minutes circling a small area.
We had a fantastic time on this excursion -the water and views were phenomenal, Carter our tour guide was “sick” (meaning amazingly cool), he gave many interesting facts about Lake Tahoe and beyond (even trees while we waited for our shuttle bus)😁 They were sure we were safe, hydrated and even gave some granola bars! I highly recommend doing this trip! Ran smoothly, never felt rushed and we enjoyed ever second of it (with many photos to share and look back at) 👍🏻👍🏻 Carter also took photos of all the kayakers and shared the photos at the end of the trip
Absolutely one of the best experiences we ever had. Our female guide was phenomenal. She took her time and never once did I feel rushed. She also climbed up on the rock and took multiple stunning pictures for my family. The water is absolutely stunning to see. They also provided us with water granola bars, and a sponge to clear our canoe if needed. Sunscreen was also provided before we left. Great job.
Getting started for the tour was punctual and efficient. Once we arrived at the lake the water and views were amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. He took amazing pictures for everyone in the group. As a solo traveler that was appreciated tremendously !
