Itinerary
We drive along the Petruss Casemates, the ruins of the medieval fortress of Luxembourg. These Casemates are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. They date back to the time when the Spanish modernized the medieval fortifications and built large bastions such as the Bastion Beck, on whose plateau lies the present Constitution Square. They have been open to the public since 1933.
During the city train ride, participants will pass the made of glass panoramic lift in the old town of Pfaffenthal.
The Chemin de la Corniche runs along the Alzette vally on the ramparts from the Bock Promontory up to the lower part of the Holy Ghost Citadel, the so-called Rondellen.
The so-called Rives de Clausen form a district of bars and restaurants, established on the site of the former Luxembourg beer brewery “Mousel”. Situated along the Alzette, the Rives de Clausen appeal to a wide variety of tastes and attract a very cosmopolitan public, which is typical for Luxembourg. The Rives de Clausen are also part of a larger plan to enhance the suburbs of the former fortress.
The Rham Plateau proudly overlooks three sides of the Alzette valley and offers a stunning view of the old city of Luxembourg. It has been an integral part of Luxembourg’s fortifications since the 15th century and was later expanded by Vauban with four imposing military barracks, currently used as modern and comfortable housing for seniors. Take the opportunity to stop for a few minutes, stroll amongst the century-old plane trees, and walk up to the promontory behind the ruins of the four towers. Once at the top, you will have a breathtaking view of the old fortifications, the Holy-Ghost Citadel and the Corniche.

Highly recommend this short multi lingual train ride through old town Luxembourg. Additionally take advantage of walking in the old center after.
The train was a great way of seeing into the little nooks & crannies of the area... Tiny hidden streets & places we wouldn't have thought to venture out to!
If you are going by car allow half an hour to search for a parking space and walk to the destination. We had booked in advance and also paid. Hadn't made it to this time because we couldn't get rid of the car. We didn't get our money back because it wasn't a valid reason. Had to pay double.... Very unfortunate. It's that our little boy was there or we wouldn't have gone. It's also very short 30 min but
A gentle little activity for tourists even families to explore the area of history in the 45 mins gentle drive
It’s very short and it was too hot. This should be offered later in the evening when it’s not too hot.
Great service my partner love it we both enjoyed it so much
Good experience and great historical information. It was a short ride but something cool to do rain or shine. It is a bumpy ride so be prepared for that, but the driver takes their time to minimize thay.
Very practical way to see the city. Hit the important sights with good narration. Highly recommend.
Really gives you a good overview on the old town. Would definitely recommend this tour as it is so informative and also a fun thing to do.
Great for getting to know the city without walking and learning the history with audio guides in multiple languages
