At your own pace, see all of the history and architectural beauty this city has to offer, hopping on and off the double-decker bus whenever you please. From the open-top deck you'll experience panoramic views of Christ Church College, Brasenose College, The Plain, the Sheldonian Theatre, Trinity College and even The Eagle and Child pub where J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis would meet up for a beverage! The on-board audio tour commentary will be sure to keep you fascinated, providing intriguing facts on the way round. Also enjoy an expertly guided walking tour, for a closer look at the local culture.

- 2nd September - 23rd October: First departure from Stop 1 at 9:30am. Last departure from Stop 1 at 5pm. Frequency: every 15 minutes (Saturday & Sunday), every 20 minutes (Monday - Friday)
- 24th October - 1st November: First departure from Stop 1 at 9:30am. Last departure from Stop 1 at 5pm. Frequency: every 20 minutes
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Live Guided Bus Tour: Departs from Stop 9. Departure Times: 10:55am, 11:55am, 12:55pm, 1:55pm, 2:55pm and 3:55pm. Last tour concludes at approximately 4:55pm at Stop 9
- Oxford Uncovered Walking Tour: Duration: 60 minutes. Departure Point: Visitor Information Point, City Sightseeing Oxford, 44-45 High Street, OX1 4AP. Schedule: Daily, every hour from 11am - 4pm (subject to availability)
- Please note that the guided walking tour is seasonal, and customers should enquire upon arrival for more information.
- Mobile or paper vouchers accepted. Paper vouchers must be redeemed at City Sightseeing shop in Oxford Railway Station. Mobile vouchers can be redeemed at any of the bus stops along the route
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the travel date selected at check-out
- River Cruise (if Bus + River Cruise ticket is selected): Customers will get a code for the boat when they redeem their bus ticket. This can be used when boarding the boat. 40-minute return trips daily to Iffley Lock at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. These cruises run from April to the end of September - subject to weather conditions. Children under 3 go free. 3 and 4 year olds can buy their boat tickets at the boat
- Sunday 28th June: Due to the Race for Life event taking place, from the start of operations until approximately midday, the bus tours will operate between Stops 1 - 9, after which the tour should return to normal schedule. The Oxford Uncovered Walking Tour remains unaffected and will take place as usual

All staff who worked with the Hop on/off buses were polite and very helpful. Thank you Greg for a wonderful tour. Greg was full of historical information but made the tour light hearted too. Information of Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter etc. A must do tour, to get so much information of the City.

Longer stops, seemingly for no reason, information not synchronized with the route

Our leaflets, website and bus stop information all advise that, while we aim to operate at the advertised frequency throughout the day, journey times can vary depending on traffic conditions and other demands on Oxford's busy road network. Our team always does its best to keep services running as close to schedule as possible. Major delays and route changes are communicated via our website, through the Oxford Bus Company App, and with our City Sightseeing Oxford Drivers and Ticket Sellers, so customers are kept informed. We're also sorry to hear that you experienced commentary that was not synchronised with the route. We would appreciate it if you could email us at info@citysightseeingoxford.com with details of the bus you travelled on and the stops or locations where you noticed the issue. This information will help us investigate and rectify any faults. we recently visited Oxford and thought the best way to see it was with City Sightseeing Oxford. We did the hop on/off bus tour which was great as it's very flexible and was even better when we had Greg the tour guide on board. He was brilliant, very informative and very funny! We didn't do any walking tour as it was too hot but we did the chauffeured river punt which was cooling and calming.

Great afternoon with City Sightseeing Oxford. We did the Hop On / Hop Off bus - Greg the Tour Guide was brilliant ! Also did the River Cruise & Walking Tour with same company - it was baking hot but Jasmine the Walking Guide took it in her stride - great character, knowledgeable, humorous & a crazy hat ! Chaps on the boat were lovely as well - Loved it all - Highly recommend x

The bus gave us a basic understanding of Oxford’s sites and history from which to explore. The bus ticket included a walking tour that was very enjoyable. Our guide, Peter was very knowledgeable and engaging, providing us with another layer of insight and places that couldn’t be seen by bus.
