Description
Lebanon hiking to Jannet Chouwen lake, you will experience the pleasure of hiking in the majestic nature, mixed forests with oak, pine and many other plant species, until we reach its marvelous lake known as Jannet Chouwen. There, one may relax by the lake under the shade of the trees and enjoy the sound of the water, and others may benefit from the clean transparent water for a swim. So make sure to bring your swimsuit with you and sandals. Hiking trip is about 3 hours (back and forth), during which we will be resting for some photo shooting in the marvelous wild nature. Jannet Chouwen Hiking trip is Moderate during down slopes and advanced during up slopes.

My wife and I had a fantastic trip on this tour. Our guide, Ziad, picked us up promptly from our hotel and drove us up to the start of the trail. On the way, he explained a lot of the history of the region, which I was very happy to learn about. He was very accommodating and stopped at a bakery so we could pick up some nourishment. We had a nice hike down into the valley, which was incredibly beautiful. We were able to stop for water, to take photos, and to rest whenever we needed. Once we got down to the lake, we ate our snacks and then went for a swim. Although the water was cold, it was so refreshing and visually stunning. Ziad hung out and enjoyed the weather and told us we could stay as long as we liked. After a few hours hanging out at the lake, we headed back up the trail to our car. Down at the lake and on the trail, we met many locals, all of whom were happy to chat and were very welcoming. Overall, this was a great trip that I cannot recommend enough. We felt so safe and welcomed, and Ziad is a fantastic guide, thank you so much!
What an incredible experience! Our guide, Ziad, was kind, friendly, and punctual and made us feel so welcome and safe on our journey to one the most beautiful landscapes I have ever visited. His guidance was accommodating and he was full of interesting facts and histories about Lebanon. It could not have been more pleasant and easy going. The entire guided tour from hotel pick up in Beirut to the ride up the mountains to the hike had me completely confident in my safety and positive vibe that emanated from the entire journey. The lake was breathtaking and a must see! Thank you and we will visit again soon!!!!

Although i had really nice guide at the trip, i was not aware i would be there alone. I didn't like the fact the company hadnt tell me before there would be no one else. I don't think its very safe to travel as woman in a foreign country with a man-guide (although i had a luck and my guide was very kind person!). To sum up: for the guide 5 stars, for the price of the experiece (more than 100$??) and the company logistic 1 star.
We are surprised to see your 2-star review. You were picked up on time, the guide was professional, and the vehicle was comfortable. The only reason you mentioned for being dissatisfied is that you were alone on the tour. While we understand this may not have been what you expected, the service provided was exactly as promised. You also booked this tour directly through Tripadvisor/Viator, where the price was clearly stated at $100. You chose to proceed with the booking and payment. No one pressured you to do so, and all details were transparent before you confirmed. In your review, you mention that it is not safe to travel alone as a female in a foreign country. Respectfully, that was a personal decision you made when choosing to travel solo, and it is not a reflection of the quality or safety of our tour. For these reasons, we feel your review does not fairly represent the service you received.
I booked this tour with Zingy Ride and had the best experience. Robin arrived in perfect time to my pick-up location and since we had a an early start, I could enjoy the place without being too crowded. The hiking is pretty decent and Lake Chouwen is exactly as shown in the photos, emerald and clear waters surrounded by bush. I'd 100% recommend doing tour tours in Lebanon with Zingy Ride and special shout out to Robin for being such a professional and ensuring everything went smooth.
I loved the trip I was able to take to chouwan with Roben which was amazing, he explained everything, he was careful even how to dress, I was able to go very early to the best places to take pictures, I enjoyed it a lot, I will never forget this experience Thank you again.
After having a fantastic experience with Robin on my first trip, I didn’t even hesitate to book another adventure with him - this time to stunning Chouwen. And once again, it was absolutely perfect. Chouwen is a slice of paradise - lush forests, crystal-clear water, and nice hiking trails. We spent the day hiking through the nature, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. When we finally reached the water, we had the chance to swim in the most beautiful water. As always, Robin was the heart of the experience. He led the hike at a perfect pace, made sure everyone was feeling great and added so much value with his stories. His energy is so positive and uplifting, and he always makes you feel like you’re travelling with a friend rather than just guide. To top it all off, we enjoyed some delicious local food - one of the bests I’ve had in Lebanon. I can’t say it enough - Robin is simply the best. Friendly, professional, patient, and just a joy to be around. Every time I’ll be back to Lebanon, I know without a doubt that I’ll be planning my trips with him.
This was one of the best and most beautiful place I’ve ever experienced. It was an amazing experience and I’d definitely do it again. Ziad was my tour guide and he made everything perfect. He showed us everything and made the drive very smooth. I advise anyone who is in Lebanon to do this hike and ask for Ziad to be your tour guide. You’ll be missing out if you don’t experience this!
We had a brilliant day at Chouwen Lake for the hiking & swimming. Our drive there and back was very smooth and communication was excellent from booking to the day of the trip. Robin was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. We had a good laugh and kept the spirits high during tougher parts of the hike. Thank you so much for taking us somewhere we would have never seen!
