An absolutely fantastic hidden gem of a tour. Yes, the bus ride was about 3-3.5 hrs each way but the time flew by with our tour guide Albert’s continually engaging and energetic commentary and the ruggedly picturesque scenery throughout. It was great to learn about the history of the surrounding area from a local and glean some insight into the cultural context of what we were seeing. Lunch was incredible —so much food, all so good! We got a decent amount of time at the park itself, especially given the longer travel time to get there. Albert did a good job helping us keep to a pace that would ensure we were able to hit the sights on the main paved trail, while being graciously flexible with time. There were a fair amount of local tourists at the park but not overwhelmingly crowded. Did a great job keeping track of all 11 of us in the group. Stopped for lunch on the way to the park and took another pit stop for snacks/light food on the way back. Another huge plus was Albert was able to help with translation when buying things. Definitely worth the price with a big group. We had a wide range of physical abilities in the group —we had someone who was a couple weeks out of a boot, another with a casted arm and others who had been hitting the gym before sunrise. Nonetheless, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip!
