Tour Options
Itinerary
Begin the journey by being picked up at your hotel lobby and head to the first stop together with the expert guide that will accompany you throughout the whole experience.
Visit Valladolid first thing in the morning. Enjoy a panoramic tour of this Magical Town in Mexico and take pictures of the beautiful streets that this town hosts. Also, take advantage of this visit and buy some souvenirs in the unique shops that can be found here.
Continuing, head to a sacred Mayan cenote for a refreshing swim to cool off the heat of the sun. Cenotes are natural sinkholes resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes fresh water underneath. Then, on that same spot, head to a restaurant where you will be able to indulge in a buffet lunch of Mexican food and try the most authentic Mexican cuisine! Lastly, participate in a tequila tasting and live firsthand the purest flavors of Mexican spirits.
The las stop of this wonderful private tour is Chichen Itza. Visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World and learn about this major pilgrimage center and discover Mayan history as well. Stop at each significant location at this World Heritage site, like the ball court, el Castillo, the Pyramid of Kukulkan and the Temple of the Warriors. Once the guided tour is finished, you will have some free time to walk around and explore on your own.

Kevin was the best!! Him, Victor, and Francisco were awesome on the tour. Everything went very smoothly and Kevin was a funny and great tour guide who kept things very light. My family and I learned so much from him. 100% would recommend but note that the lunch is served around 4-5pm and pick up is at 8am so make sure to eat a lot before/bring snacks on the road.
Dear lisadU3149XP, Thank you so much for your joyful and enthusiastic review. It is wonderful to hear that your family had such a positive experience and that the day flowed smoothly thanks to the team who accompanied you. Your warm words about Kevin, Victor and Francisco are deeply appreciated. Kevin’s humor, clarity and ability to keep the group engaged make him an exceptional guide — someone who transforms cultural learning into a fun and memorable experience. Victor brings warmth, structure and support to the day, helping ensure everything stays organized. And Francisco’s safe, attentive driving provides a sense of calm throughout the long journey. We also appreciate your helpful note about lunch timing. Because it is served later in the afternoon, your tip about eating well beforehand or packing snacks will be very valuable to other travelers. Thank you for sharing it sincerely and constructively. We are honored by your strong recommendation. Thank you again for your trust. Kind regards, Ramos, Quality Team
I had a very disappointing experience with Amigo Tours because the tour was not delivered as advertised, largely due to the performance of our tour leader, Tomas. I specifically booked an English-language tour, yet approximately 80% of Tomas’s explanations were in Spanish, with only short, incomplete English phrases provided. This is not subjective — the core service I paid for was an English tour, and it was not delivered. The itinerary was also not followed as communicated. Amigo’s own pre-tour instructions stated that Valladolid would be the first stop, which is how I planned my day. Instead, Tomas took us there last, allowing only about 25 minutes, with no explanation for the change. This was a material deviation from what was provided in writing and significantly impacted the experience. Lunch quality was another issue. Despite claims that there was no service failure, the buffet was extremely limited and poor in quality, to the point where nachos were essentially the only option. This did not match the advertised experience and was noticeably worse than other Amigo tours operating the same day. Transportation delays further reduced time at the sites. The bus drove unusually slowly, multiple buses passed us on the highway, and this resulted in even less time at already rushed stops. Overall, this tour did not match what was sold — not in language, itinerary, food quality, or timing — and Tomas’s poor guiding played a major role in this failure. I have photos, screenshots, and recordings to support these points. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Amigo Tours and would strongly advise travelers to be cautious.
Rodrigo Cat, Eddie Luna and Kevin....what a trio!!! If you want the experience of a life time you go with these guys and you sure get it! From the passionate speech of Rodrigo, to the safe driving of Eddie, the organization of Kevin, they do it all to make you feel like a Hollywood star😊 everything was perfect, from the pick up at the arranged time, to the stories, the no standing in queues, lunch, and the most special tour of Chichen Itza....we felt like we were living the dream, truly! Thank you for any amazing day🙏🌟
Dear anabela0412, What an absolute pleasure it was to read your review. Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience with such warmth and detail. We are truly delighted to know that your day felt extraordinary from beginning to end and that the team of Rodrigo Cat, Eddie Luna, and Kevin made you feel so well taken care of. Rodrigo’s passion is something that shines through every moment—his ability to bring ancient stories to life creates a connection that travelers rarely forget. Eddie’s safe, smooth driving provides the comfort and tranquility needed to enjoy such a full day of exploration, and Kevin’s organization ensures that every step flows seamlessly, so you never have to worry about logistics and can focus solely on enjoying the experience. Your comment about feeling like a Hollywood star genuinely warmed our hearts. That is precisely the feeling we strive to create: personalized attention, a lack of stress, no queues, carefully arranged timing, and the sensation that every detail has been thoughtfully planned for you. Knowing that you felt this level of care makes all our efforts truly meaningful. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a memorable day. We hope your experience continues to shine in your memory for many years. Kind regards, Ramos, Quality Team
This is an outright scam. You’ll quickly discover that lunch is not included—apparently it’s “VIP only,” even though your ticket clearly says it is. As for Chichen Itza, they don’t even try to hide it: once you’re on the bus they tell you it costs an extra $40 per person if you actually want to enter. Then comes the best part: they give you three hours of pointless shopping stops and barely one hour to visit anything. Their only goal is to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. And finally, they drop you off at night, in the middle of nowhere, when they’re supposed to bring you back. Avoid this tour at all costs.
Dear alessandratN2036WE We apologize for your experience and take your feedback seriously. Lunch is included only for customers who select the "VIP" option during booking, which is specified at the time of reservation. Regarding the drop-off, we always return customers to the same location where they were picked up. We will take into account all your suggestions and concers and we hope you will consider giving us a second chance to improve your experience. Kind regards from Amigo Tours -Alma
I recommend it 100% was a spectacular adventure and experience, Frank the guide is a very friendly guy and knows enough. I loved everything and was super amazed.

Our tour guide was Edwin and our drive was Salvador- both were very kind, helpful and professional. Great tour and recommend them for any people looking for a great experience to Chichenitza!
I found this company to be dishonest and unhelpful for so many reasons. Be careful. For example they take you to a “Mayan” store where you can purchase an umbrella for 30$ and of course we all needed one- and special rocks for &50! Be prepared to be ripped off. I would recommend taking a smaller private shuttle that has some personal service. Pastor, a very kind gentlemen was helpful and nice.
Dear lauralA7996OU, We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any disappointment caused. Our tours aim to provide authentic experiences, and we regret if this wasn't your perception. Please know that our clients are never obligated to shop anything. Best regards from the entire quality team at Amigo Tours. Chelsea
My partner and I carried out this activity with Marcela as a guide, which made the trip very enjoyable despite the heat and took care of the group at all times. The driver was Jorge and also made the long journey very pleasant.
Wonderful tour! We spent the full day exploring Chichen Itza and other ruins - with our incredible and knowledgable guide, visited a spot for a delicious lunch and a cenote swim. We had a private tour with a group of 8 friends and they handled it wonderfully. We were at Chichen Itza when it opened which was the best time to get there.
Dear kassiejr, we are very happy to know you had an amazing time with our team, we will be looking forward to having you again! Ivana, Amigo Tours
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Our original 8am tour was cancelled, so they put as on a 6am tour with a 5:35am pickup. We waited for them since 5:30am, and no one showed to pick us up. When we could finally reach them, they said someone had come and we weren't there. Definitely a lie, which we crosschecked with the hotel staff. Do not waste your time or money with Amigo Tours.
Dear Emily; We deeply regret to know that you had a bad experience with our company, we are going to verify the situation with the person in charge of your activity. Meanwhile, we apologize for the inconvenience. Mariana, Amigo tours
