This self guided tour was a fantastic experience for my girlfriend and I. This is our first time in Charleston and we loved the history explained throughout the guide. Definitely would recommend to fellow history enthusiasts! I would recommend bringing waters to stay hydrated.
Loved the tour and mix of history and architecture. Loved that we could go at our own pace and pause and restart as we wanted. Just the right amount of walking and coverage of Charleston. Also suggestions for delving deeper into spots along the tour. Would highly recommend
This was a great alternative to scheduling a tour. I was unsure of when I would be available but was interested in touring Charlotte. This was very informative and allowed me to visit the landmarks and museums at a leisurely pace. I highly recommend it.
Enjoyed a fun and informative guided walking tour of historic Charleston, experiencing hidden alleys and architectural gems - thanks Greg - that was $10 well spent!
Difficult to get app to work… had to shut down and restart multiple times. Once we got started, the app said it would wait until you reached the next point of interest, but it did not and we had to manually pause it. The descriptions of each site were too brief.
Hi! I sounds like you might have used the "Virtual" tour mode? And not the "on location" Version? The on location uses GPS to know your location and plays as you walk. The virtual allows you to hear it anytime, without the GPS triggering :). That sounds to be the issue. If you did not like it, no problem, email me at info@walkntours.com and I'm happy to refund you. 1000's take this tour and write me every day with great reviews, so I'm sorry it did not work out for you! But good news is the tour never expires, so you can take it again, or listen, anytime! Have a great day. Greg @ WalknTours
Tour at your own pace is great but app is challenging as screen goes black often and have to re login to phone.
Informative guide with clear instructions to next point
Thank you for the great review! This is one of my favorite tours! while you travel look for our new tours, we are growing fast and creating 10 plus tour per month! Thanks again! Greg @ WalknTours
We thought the information was great. We had a hard time working the app at first but that was probably user error. We couldn't figure out how to progress the audio without starting over. Once we understood the app better we really enjoyed it. We think a short tutorial before beginning your first tour would be helpful, something that shows all of the icons and how to properly work it. We were halfway through before even noticing the GPS arrow for the next stop. We kept going out and trying to locate on the map.
It is a lot of walking but very informative. Took us a minute to find the starting point. Lots of little out of the norm places
You’re free to travel at your own pace and replay a section if needed.
