This is a fantastic tour! Our excellent tour guide Dennis Mardis made the tour so informative and fun. We highly recommend this for anyone who wants to learn about Charleston, its history and architecture. Our only regret was we did this on day 2 of our visit instead of the first day. A wonderful experience with a terrific guide!
Our tour guide was Michael. He did an amazing job sharing his love for his home town of Charleston. He had 20 people in his group and did a wonderful job keeping us together and was loud enough so that we all could hear him share facts, stories and details about the city. Well done! I definately recommend this tour.
Michael was a fantastic guide- he was friendly, factual and funny! I enjoyed all his fun facts and welcoming approach.
Dennis was a great guide. We had a large group, but he managed to keep it moving and the stories were interesting. Highly recommend!
Great opportunity to learn about local and national history! Tour guide shared excellent stories and anecdotes about the people who created the city of Charleston.
Al was very knowledgeable, engaging, and fun! Loved the tour and we learned so much about this beautiful city!
I expected more from the tour. I did not feel that there was much discussion about the architecture. Interesting information about history and local norms was shared. The guide had a lot of experience and knowledge, but I thought he would talk more about design and architecture.
The tour was fantastic! Our tour guide was Al and he was very knowledgeable and entertaining! He did a great job explaining the architecture and history of Charleston. I would highly recommend this tour.
Expert guide. Told great stories and pointed out details of homes and buildings I never would have noticed. Great walking route through a few secret alleyways.
A totally excellent way to see the city of Charleston and learn about some of its history… I preferred the walking tour to a carriage because there was more time to take pictures and actually see some of the buildings up close. And what made the tour even better was our tour guide Al, he was from the area and knew all of the history going back to before the Civil War.
