Your travel day becomes part of the experience. Leave directly from your Cartagena accommodation and travel privately to Santa Marta. Choose the destination that matches your stay: Santa Marta city, Minca or the Tayrona coast, including Los Naranjos, Guachaca and Buritaca. Your group travels privately in an air-conditioned vehicle with a professional local driver. There are no bus terminals, shared rides or negotiations with drivers along the way. Many visitors do not realize that an ordinary private-looking car may not be authorized to transport paying passengers between Colombian cities. Our journeys operate in Servicio Especial vehicles authorized for national routes. We also maintain a backup fleet so an unexpected vehicle issue does not leave you searching for another way to continue your trip. Before departure, you receive your driver’s name, phone number, and license plate. You can also select an option that includes a separate English-speaking guide.

Pickup Locations & Times
Pickup is available from Cartagena hotels, Rafael Núñez International Airport, the cruise port or another confirmed address within the configured pickup area. Enter your exact pickup location and preferred departure time when booking. Before the journey, we will send your driver’s name, telephone number, vehicle type and license plate. Your driver will meet you at the hotel entrance, airport arrivals area, cruise-port meeting point or another confirmed location. If the entrance cannot be reached by vehicle, we will confirm the closest safe meeting point.

Hadar was an excellent driver safe and sound the whole way for the drive from Cartagena to Santa Marta, on time great experience. Santiago the booking manager was very responsive and helpful as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Amazing time with our guide Hugo and driver Arnel. Hugo was super knowledgeable, friendly and kind. We learned so much about not only Cartagena, but also the villages and cities we passed along the way to Santa Marta. We stopped to see statues of Shakira, Sofia Vegara, got food and bathroom breaks! 100% recommend. We felt very welcomed, safe, and we learned a ton from Hugo who is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Excellent service, the best option if you want to go quiet. The route by plane Cartagena-Bogotá-Santa Marta is very slow, hopefully 4-5 hours, if you make it very fair, the cost, twice what I got here. Plus it's more expensive. The very polite driver knew how to keep quiet or not be noisy with the music when I went to the phone, then offered a very interesting conversation and full of valuable route and stay data. I totally recommend.

I’m really glad we chose this option instead of traveling by bus. Our driver, Hader, was extremely kind and professional, shared lots of helpful advice, and made us feel completely safe with his careful driving. He picked us up and dropped us off door to door, and since our accommodation was near Tayrona Park, we paid a pre-agreed additional fee, which was absolutely worth it.
