Start this full-day tour by meeting the expert local guide who will pick you up from your hotel. Walk through San Felipe Castle, the old fortress built by Spaniards, and let the guide bring back to life adventure stories of conquerors, treasures and pirates, while you learn more about how Colombia became so mixed due to African, indigenous and Spanish roots.
Visit afterwards the stunning Walled City and stroll around the colonial and colorful houses as you know more about the main squares and bastions that traced our path to independence.

Nick is an awesome guide and we learned a lot. He was more than accommodating for rest stops and water. It is a lot of walking, which was more than some family could handle although it was very hot and humid. Hydrate before you start! It was well worth the money the money to do this private tour with our 7 family members. We had to end the walking part early, so we were driven in air-conditioned comfort to see the rest of the sights.
