Riding around Cartagena on Saturday afternoon/evening was truly an adventure! My teens and I have been on many city bike tours, but nothing quite like this one. The first part of the tour requires navigating through city traffic; the second part of tour was more in pedestrian areas. The bikes weren't fancy, but they were functional. I walked my bike up to the top of the city wall, but the teens managed to pedal up. The guide was told a variety of stories of the city's history from the more recent art to the early European settlements.
Great educational experience with a lot of picturesque sites. However, be aware that you MUST feel comfortable cycling on surface streets and around vendors and pedestrians. With that said, it was a great time. Nick was our tour guide and he was very sweet and helpful.
Everything was perfect. The guide was very interesting. The only negative thing was that it was very hot and often in direct sunlight we had more difficulty concentrating.
The tour was great and King Felipe showed us the sights and history of Cartagena. Highly recommend going with him!
The guide was excellent and showed us varied parts of the walled city of Cartagena. One of the highlights was watching a sloth climb down a tree.
We were on a cruise ship with a very short port time in Cartegena. We got a taxi from ship over to the bike shop in the walled city. We met our tour guide Jhony Serrato. He explained about the safety and biking in the city with the traffic. Gave us a helmet and bottle water and off we went. We explored the walled city and its different neighborhoods. Got to stop along the way and take alot of photos. We learned alot of history of the city from Jhony. We enjoyed this tour very much. We even stopped at an emerald jewelry shop to learn about emeralds. I highly recommend this tour. The bike ride wasn't too strenuous. Just make sure you have sunscreen and some sun protective clothing on.
Thanks you so much for your review! We appreciate your feedback and are glad you are satisfied with our service.
Knowledgeable, informative and enjoyable. Lots of history and specific information tailored to the diverse location we visited. And this laced with questions and music in relation to the locations.
We had a great tour with Henry. The group was small (6). The bikes were comfortable, and we covered a lot of ground within the older walled part of the city. Henry was knowledgeable and very kind. I liked that he shared a lot of the history and his own perspective as well. He also did a great job keeping us safe. He enlisted the help of a driver or two to keep traffic at bay the few times we had to ride on busier roads.
Shame my photos wouldn’t load for the review but brilliant bike tour. THE most amazing guide Jaime who showed us all the sites. Like riding around cartegena with a local celebrity, he knew everyone so really made it feel like you were amongst locals. Fantastic way of getting your bearings and understanding the layout of the city. Fantastic time. Would 100% recommend.
This is an awesome way to explore the town hands down! Our tour guide was sweet too. Def worth it and very fun! Great pic opportunities too. Some people might need to be tipped tho like the dancing colorful ladies! So be aware that to take a pic with them, You have to tip them reasonably too
