Discover the strange events at Peterhouse that made headlines nationwide, and learn about the dark history of Corpus Christi College and the tragic fates that befell many there. Itinerary
Cambridge is not just about folklore and ghost tales—it’s also a city of science. Discover how science and the supernatural come together in this remarkable city of explorers of the otherworldly.
Visit one of the nicest parts of Cambridge, which hides a darker past. Long ago, it was the site of horrific executions and terrible acts tied to heresy and witchcraft. Beneath its calm today lies a history of fear and suffering.
Learn about a quiet bookshop believed to be haunted by the friendliest ghost in Cambridge. Keep your senses sharp—something unseen may be close.
Why does the upper floor of the pub always have a draft? It’s not as simple an answer as you may think!
Walk across Free School Lane and sense the lingering darkness some say still hangs in the air. Many believe the energy of this place quietly permeates the street even today.
Learn about Corpus Christi, a college wrapped in silence but heavy with unsettling tales. Behind its dark walls linger stories of restless figures, unexplained noises, and shadows that don’t belong.
The oldest college in town hides the secret of the most famous and recent ghost haunting, which caught the attention of the whole nation. To this day, no one truly knows what happened.

We did the 6pm "Cambridge After Dark" ghost tour tonight and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide, Francesco was incredibly engaging, witty, and a master storyteller. He brought the history and spooky legends of Cambridge to life with the perfect balance of humor and mystery. He made it feel so authentic and personal. If you are in Cambridge, this is a highly recommended fun activity! Thank you, Francesco, for a memorable evening!
Great fun and learning, sad about the rain! We will retrace our steps again today.
Fantastic tour with Shalvi last night (apologies if we've spelt this incorrectly!), she was so engaging and a great storyteller. Heard some delightfully spooky and quirky stories , it was a lot of fun!
Annie was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job. There were only a handful of us so it was quite intimate and Annie was really knowledgeable and described all the stories in lots of detail
Annie was fantastic, was very well informed and answered all our questions. Thank you
Megan was already waiting at the meeting point when we arrived and throughout the tour was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The content was very interesting and Megan was a great guide. The tour itself gave a good insight into the history of Cambridge and helped us with suggestions of places to visit for the remainder of out stay. We would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to have Megan as you guide you are in for a treat.
Lovely tour, lots of good stories. Megan was very friendly as well as knowledgeable - weather was dreadful - lots of rain - but Megan found places to shelter whilst telling her stories so all was well!
We had a tour guide called Alex.. who was a local lady (to Cambridge). she was very very friendly and a font of knowledge. She even outwitted us on the history of Waterloo "teeth" (and we live in Waterloo, Belgium). Very impressive indeed so well done Alex and bonne chance.
This is definitely worth doing. It's a good walk and it's interesting, although you can't be sure how much of it to believe. The tour guide was a bit too prescriptive and followed a script for us to really be able to get into it. She wasn't particularly personable and ended the tour suddenly in a different place to where we started, leaving us lost, hence the rating.
Dear Wendy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As this was a Ghost Tour, the content naturally includes legends, folklore, and traditional stories, some of which are not presented as historical fact. This balance between history and storytelling is an intentional part of the experience. We do appreciate your comments regarding the guide’s delivery style. Your feedback has been noted, and we will ensure it is shared with the guide so we can continue to refine and improve her approach. We are committed to providing engaging, welcoming, and high-quality experiences for all our guests. We are also sorry to hear that the tour ended in a location that left you feeling disoriented. While ghost tours do not always finish at the original meeting point, guides are expected to clearly explain the ending location, and we will reinforce this going forward. If you would be open to it, we would be very happy to hear more from you. Please feel free to contact us directly at info@alumni.tours, so we can discuss your experience in more detail and how we can continue to improve. Thank you again for your honest feedback. Kind regards, Monich Alumni Tours
My mother and I had the pleasure of doing both the general alumni tour with Isla and the ghost tour with Alex. They were both incredibly engaging, knowledgeable, and attentive to questions! We absolutely loved our tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this historic university. There is a world of insights and stories you would miss without their expert knowledge.
