Description

Our tea ceremony offers a rare opportunity to slow down in a quiet seaside village, where guests can experience Oriental tea culture in a peaceful setting. Every session is carefully curated, combining tea, story, and calm hospitality to help guests reconnect with themselves through the art of tea. Guests are also invited to enjoy a selection of unique teaware, each piece selected to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the experience. In East Asian tradition, tea was often enjoyed alongside poetry, painting, and calligraphy — the gentle arts cherished by tea lovers. Drawing inspiration from this cultural heritage, our ceremony includes a calligraphy activity where guests can express their tea experience through brush and ink. This thoughtful practice not only adds a creative dimension to the session, but also offers a tangible keepsake that captures the spirit of stillness and reflection.

Peaceful Morning Activity

Ms. Min is the owner of Daman Teahouse and she is very knowledgeable about Korean and Chinese ceremonial tea practices! She answered all of my questions and was very patient as I practiced the correct way to pour tea. This experience has inspired me to look more into the history of tea and to learn about different properties of tea. I also appreciated the calligraphy session after the tea ceremony. Thank you Ms. Min!

A real and amazing taste experience in busan

The best experience we have had in busan. The host is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. You will walk out knowing more, with great teas being tasted and an amazing calligraphy momento. An amazing place and event to find Rest and kindness. It is centered around slow and deliberate sensation for 1 to 4 people in about 2-2.5h. Maybe not for small kids.

Operator response

Exceeds expectations!

This experience brought a fully immersive sensory experience. It was a time of peace, quiet and reflection along with a fun and engaging conversation. If you enjoy tea, this is for you. You’ll learn about the history of tea in both Korean and Chinese cultures and the calligraphy writing keepsake is a little treasure. Enjoy a time to slow down and see, taste, smell, feel and touch all that tea has to offer.

A Unique Experience You Likely Won’t Have Elsewhere

My wife and I attended the tea ceremony and calligraphy session. Min was a gracious host who offered us a variety of teas from different countries, some of which we never knew existed! Min brims with passion for tea, including the science of making tea as well as the long, storied history of tea. Min was extremely welcoming and kind and made us feel right at home! Included in the ceremony, Min carefully curated Dasik (traditional Korean rice cakes) that were out of this world. This was hands down one of our favorite activities in Busan!!!

Operator response

Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure welcoming you both and sharing tea and conversation together. I’m glad you enjoyed discovering new teas and the traditional Dasik served alongside the tea. Thank you for spending part of your time in Busan here—may your journey in Korea be filled with moments as calm and nourishing as a good cup of tea. 😊
