The sky walk has drawn attention as the first of its kind in Korea, and for its long, curving trail. To date, the first section of the walk has been installed and measures 104 m, stretching around Geobukseom Island. When completed next February, the Songdo Sky Walk will set a new record as the longest ocean walk in Korea at 296 m in length and 2.3 m in width. The sky walk will also have a viewing platform stretching out into the water to give visitors a spectacular view of the coastline. Transparent tempered glass was also used in sections of the flooring for the walk, allowing for clear views of the waters below and giving people the true sensation of walking on water. It is positioned 5.5~8 m above sea level making it far closer to the sea than the Oryukdo Sky Walk, which is positioned 37 m above the shore, along a seashore cliff. Everyone will be able to enjoy the thrilling and exciting experience of watching blue waves under their feet.

Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname of "Machu Picchu of Busan." The many alleys cutting through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.

Busan’s modern movie district was originally little more than a pair of cinemas that were built following Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule over half a century ago. However, major renovations took place ahead of the first Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in 1996, and the newly transformed district was named BIFF Square on August 14, 1996

Following the Korean War, refugees who had fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international"). The Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets; each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to the Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. The market stocks such a wide variety of goods, that you can find almost everything you need right here.

30 min

The Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest seafood market. After the Korean War the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the women who sell here are called 'Jagalchi Ajumma,' 'ajumma' meaning middle-aged or married women. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. If you visit you can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even these days you can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the road.

Great Busan Private Day Tour from Cruise

Sue our guide and Joe our driver were outstanding! They picked us up from our cruise ship in a lovely van. They both provided great insights about the various places we visited and were helpful and cheerful all day.

Fun day in South Korea

We had an outstanding day in South Korea with our tour guide Sue. We saw everything we were to see and had a wonderful traditional Korean Bar-B-Que. Sue was very knowledgeable, and had an excellent grasp on the English language. We had a tour in Nagasaki two days later for similar cost and there was no comparison.

A very well organized and fun day

A wonderful day from start to finish. Our guide, Sue, and driver Joe, were prompt, friendly and professional. We saw all of the main sights of Busan and had a wonderful Korean BBQ lunch. Sue provided excellent information on the sights and the history surrounding them. We highly recommend this tour, and Sue as a guide. It is worth every penny.

Excellent overview of the great city of Busan!

Sue was engaging, informative, and spoke English fluently. The driver was also very helpful. The two of them made a great team, and we felt that we got to see the best of Busan during our short time in the city.

A great tour of Busan with Steve

Steve collected us from the Busan cruise terminal promptly, and with our name on a card. We had already given Steve our preferences.of places to visit and his itinerary did not disappoint. A great tour around Busan, including the Temple, Culture Village, and great viewing points. Steve took us to a Korean barbecue restaurant where he guided us through the menu and set us up to cook and enjoy a great meal. Steve left us to complete our cooking and collected us at the end of the meal. A great tour with an extremely knowledgeable, friendly guide in an air conditioned car with water supplied. Highly recommended

Great learning opportunity in Busan

We knew very little about South Korea and were interested in the history and culture. We asked our guide to show us the city addressing the community as a whole. She excelled in helping us visit the community and learn about the whole country.
