Busan: Fully Customizable Private Tour

Very professional in her manners and appearance. It was obvious that she takes her tour guide job very seriously. Her extensive knowledge of the Korean dynasties, Confucianism and Buddhism was impressive, we learnt a lot from her. She had a good sense of humor and gave us a good snapshot of modern Korean life as well. Made every effort to find restaurants that we liked. Her English vocabulary was excellent. She was always very enthusiastic, full of energy throughout the tours. She completed everything what was in the itinerary, never cut anything short. She was a very good driver, always obeying the speed limit and traffic laws, keeping us safe throughout the tour. Communications with her before and in between the tours via WhatsApp were perfect, she always replied to our messages within minutes. As for the company “this is Korea”, they were fantastic throughout the preparation time when I first contacted them asking them to fill up our days in Korea with exciting and meaningful programs. They were fully open to my requests and created a custom made itinerary for Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island. They also sent me a fantastic color brochure with the exact sites we were going to see, then detailed descriptions as to why those sites were interesting. They also included several high resolution photographs of the sites.

We had an amazing tour with Kory to the DMZ. He was knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and went out of his way to accommodate our requests. Would definitely recommend Kory.

Had a wonderfulnderful time in Busan and Gyeongju with Hye Seon Gang (Kassy), a native of Busan and very outgoing--a people person. She had a driver along, which made hopping out to explore really great, inparticular since we hit the cherry blossoms at the perfect time. Our favorite temple was at Beomeo; the Haedong Yonnungsa Temple was mich more touristy. Great visit and lunch at the Jagalchi fish market. Thank you to Kassy and Richard at This Is Korea for setting up all our tours and airport pickups/dropoffs.

The tour was great, especially for family with children. The guide was excellent and very helpful from beginning and father journey till we departed in airport. The guide customised the tour according to our interests. He also pre arranged meal with restaurants with local Korean cuisines. Highly recommend.

This is our first time to Busan and there were so many things to see, to experience , to taste and to enjoy.. although I had the trip customized prior to meeting Kassy, she was very efficient , flexible and helpful in discussing my wishlist and give her recommendation and suggestions to make sure we get the best out of our first time to Busan. That helpfulness and passion already left me a good impression and indeed the moment we saw her at the Busan train station ( we travelled from Seoul to Busan) we can already feel her hospitality and her warmth. She was knowledgeable and her excellent English accent made us enjoyed and understood the tour with the cultural history that she was trying to share. As I am traveling with my daughter , the three of us including Kassy felt like friends going shopping and having fun snacking at street food and enjoying ourselves so much that time flies fast. Highly recommend !!!!Kassy took 6 adults on full day of touring . She was magnificent. Her English is excellent. She arranged a deluxe van and driver and took us to all the sites we wanted. We even got to have lunch at a very high end beef Korean BBQ restaurant and we were treated like royalty. It was a first class experience all arranged by Kassy ! Kassy is personable, flexible, and highly knowledgeable. We enjoyed every moment !

Our tour guide for the day tour with Kassy was excellent. She gave us good knowledgeable about the history of the temple, steps to how to enjoy the Ginseng chicken soup with Ginseng liquor and also help us in the ordering of a great seafood dinner at the Jagachi seafood market . That was amazing as language was an issue with us . Kassy was such a great host that made sure we all bucket up in the car ride . With her careful and clear explanation of the place and history, help us take very nice angled photos at the specific spots of each place of interest which made our trip very memorable. We felt very blessed to meet such a thoughtful Kassy that leaves such a lasting impression of our Busan trip . Kassy , a very big thank you for guiding and giving us your extra time to make sure that we had a nice seafood dinner on 24/10/25 in Busan . I have no second thought to recommend her tour service to anyone who is new in Busan but wants to explore Beautiful Busan . I arranged tours so that I could easily see Busan and also follow the tour bus that my parents were on as part of their cruise ship tour experience. My guides, Chris and Solomon provided an interesting experience and detailed information about the community and culture. They were thoughtful about pointing out additional places to explore.
