Walking on water? Yes, please! Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory features a stunning 72.5-meter-long skywalk extending out over the ocean, shaped like a mythical blue dragon protecting the village. As you step onto the transparent glass floor, you'll feel the thrill of the crashing waves directly beneath your feet while taking in panoramic views of Busan’s pristine coastline. It’s the ultimate spot to catch the coastal breeze and snap your next viral vacation photo!
Haedong Yonggungsa is a breathtaking temple located on the coast of Busan, making it one of the most unique temples in South Korea. Founded in 1376, this temple stands out from others that are typically nestled in the mountains, as it is situated right by the sea, offering a completely different atmosphere. The temple's name, which translates to "East Sea Dragon Palace Temple," is rooted in a legend that a dragon ascended from the sea to bring divine energy to the area. One of the temple's most captivating features is the harmonious blend of the temple's architecture with the stunning coastal scenery. To reach the temple, visitors must descend 108 steps, and as they do, they are greeted by a breathtaking view of the sea. Haedong Yonggungsa is especially famous as a prime spot to watch the sunrise, with many visitors arriving early in the morning to witness the spectacular scene of the sun rising over the East Sea, casting its golden light over the temple.
This place, known as 'Hanok', is the epitome of traditional Korean architecture's beauty in Busan. Here, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Korean traditional houses and experience a moment where time seems to stand still, away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. In this serene setting, you can enjoy the soothing melodies of the traditional Korean instrument, the Gayageum, harmonizing with nature, providing a tranquil retreat from everyday stress. Additionally, don't miss out on the most popular drinks here – the Black Sesame Latte and the Icheon Rice Latte, each offering a unique and delightful taste experience.
The Samik Beach Apartments in Busan are a breathtaking sight during cherry blossom season, typically from mid-March to early April. Imagine vibrant, rainbow-colored apartment buildings beautifully contrasted with vivid pink cherry blossoms. The cherry trees bloom so profusely that they create a canopy of flowers, almost completely obscuring the sky. As you stroll through the area, you’ll be immersed in a sea of delicate pink petals, with the bright, colorful buildings providing a stunning backdrop. This picturesque scene is a must-visit for tourists, offering an unforgettable experience and countless photo opportunities. Whether you're a nature lover, photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a serene escape, the Samik Beach Apartments during cherry blossom season are sure to captivate your heart and leave you with lasting memories. (Cherry Blossom Season Visit Only / Gwangandaegyo Bridge Alternative During Non-Blooming Season)
This amazing suspension bridge is a true gem of Busan, South Korea, stretching an impressive 7.4 kilometers. Although the bridge itself is only accessible by vehicle, it offers breathtaking views as you drive across it, allowing you to enjoy and photograph both Gwangan Bridge and the beautiful surrounding coastal scenery. Every Saturday evening at 8 PM and 10 PM, a spectacular drone show takes place above Gwangalli Beach, which can be seen together with the illuminated Gwangan Bridge in the background, creating a magical nighttime atmosphere. Additionally, in October, Gwangan Bridge becomes the centerpiece of Busan’s largest fireworks festival, with breathtaking displays reflecting over the water.
This market originated from the fact that women who fled after the Korean War started selling fish here. Now, thanks to its size, type of sea food, and cleanliness, it has become a representative fish market in Korea. There is a famous slogan in this market. It is Oiso(come), Boiso(see), and Saiso(buy) in Busan dialect.
BIFF Square in Busan is not just a movie enthusiast's paradise, it's a vibrant hub where the allure of cinema and the excitement of urban exploration blend seamlessly. Imagine wandering through lively streets, where every step brings you closer to the illustrious footprints of renowned movie stars and directors — a South Korean homage to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But that's just the beginning. BIFF Square is also a gastronomic delight, offering an array of mouthwatering street foods that capture the essence of Korean flavors. As you indulge in these culinary treats, the buzzing atmosphere of the square, illuminated by neon lights, provides an unforgettable sensory experience. It's a place where the charm of movies meets the joy of street food, creating an experience that's truly unique to Busan.
This market is one of the largest in Asia. This is a place where so many different things coexist. Fashionable women's clothes, men's clothes, food, souvenirs, electrical appliances, cosmetics, etc. There may be nothing you can't find here.^^
It is one of the most representative places to show the hard lives of refugees after the Korean War. Currently, it has become a representative tourist destination in Busan with colorful and beautiful houses, murals, and artworks. At this place, you can delight in the flavors of "moolbangul tteok" (raindrop rice cake), "kkul aiseukurim" (honey ice cream), and "mashimello aiseukurim" (marshmallow ice cream). Indulge your taste buds with these delectable treats and experience a unique blend of textures and flavors that will transport you to a realm of sweet culinary bliss.

We had an amazing day exploring Busan. This was our second tour with Jason! The tour was the perfect combination of culture, history, delicious food and beautiful scenery. Some of our most notable stops were Jagalchi Fish Market, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, and Gamcheon Culture Village. It was a fantastic tour and a wonderful way to experience some of Busan's most iconic sites. Highly recommend Jason to anyone visiting Busan!

We're so happy to hear he continues to deliver such a perfect blend of culture, history, food, and scenery. Knowing you keep choosing Jason means the world to us! We hope to welcome you back for a third visit someday!
Today we docked in Busan, South Korea’s vibrant coastal city, and packed plenty into our day ashore. Suki was our guide. For me, it was a particularly special visit. It has been 26 years since she was last in South Korea, having spent a month in Cheongju when she was 15. Returning to Korea brought back many fond memories and offered a chance to reconnect with a language she once learnt. We explored the stunning Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, one of the few Korean temples located on the shoreline, with breathtaking ocean views and a fascinating history dating back to 1376. A particularly moving stop was the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea, the only United Nations cemetery in the world. The beautifully maintained grounds are the final resting place for service members from 11 nations who lost their lives during the Korean War. Walking among the graves and the Wall of Remembrance was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by thousands of men and women in defence of freedom, and a humbling moment during our visit to Busan. We then wandered through the colourful streets of Gamcheon Culture Village, often called the “Machu Picchu of Korea,” with its pastel houses, vibrant street art and winding laneways. While exploring Gamcheon, I had the opportunity to wear a traditional hanbok, a special moment that brought back memories of her previous visit to South Korea all those years ago. It was wonderful to experience such an iconic part of Korean culture again while wandering through one of Busan’s most picturesque locations. We also visited the famous Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge, taking in spectacular views across the coastline, before finishing the day at Jagalchi Fish Market, South Korea’s largest seafood market, where the fresh seafood and bustling atmosphere were unforgettable. Unfortunately, we missed out on visiting Gukje Market and BIFF Square after some of our group wanted to return to the ship earlier than the official all-aboard time. A little disappointing, but just another reason to come back and explore more of this incredible city. Busan impressed us with its mix of history, culture, coastal beauty and amazing food. A fantastic day exploring one of South Korea’s most vibrant cities. 🇰🇷🌊⛩️✨
Thank you so much for sharing such a beautifully written and deeply personal review — we read every word with so much warmth in our hearts! 😊What a truly special day this must have been for you. Returning to Korea after 26 years, and reconnecting with memories from your time in Cheongju as a 15-year-old, is something we feel so honored to have been even a small part of. We're so glad Suki could be there to share that journey with you, especially in a place that holds such personal history. We love that Haedong Yonggungsa Temple's breathtaking shoreline setting and centuries of history left such an impression. And reading about your visit to the United Nations Memorial Cemetery truly moved us — it's a place that carries so much weight, and we're grateful it gave you and your group a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many in defence of freedom.Wearing a hanbok in Gamcheon Culture Village while surrounded by those colorful, winding laneways sounds like such a meaningful full-circle moment, especially layered with the memories of your previous visit all those years ago. And finishing the day with the views from Songdo Suspension Bridge and the lively energy of Jagalchi Fish Market — what a wonderfully rich way to experience Busan! We're sorry you weren't able to fit in Gukje Market and BIFF Square this time — with only 7 hours available for touring due to the ship's docking schedule, it's understandable that not everything could be included — but as you said, that just leaves more reasons to come back! We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you and your group back to Busan someday, and to help you explore even more of this incredible city.Thank you again for such a heartfelt review, and for trusting us to be part of such a meaningful day.
As part of our cruise itinerary, Busan was a port of call and we decided to reserve a private full-day tour with Korea Go Tours through Tripadvisor. Jino from Colour my own was our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and driver. He shared a great deal of information about Busan and was attentive to our needs. He brought us to a wonderful restaurant for a delicious Korean lunch that really added to the whole experience. At our request, he modified the itinerary and added the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK) in Busan which was very touching and allowed us to reflect on Korea`s history and Canada`s participation in the Korean War. We also visited Jagalchi Market, a huge fish market with an incredible variety of seafood. Overall, a phenomenal day with a friendly and knowledgeable guide! If you reserve this tour, ask for Jino and you will not be disappointed!

Our tour guide is Alan, he is friendly, fun and flexible. Great personality. We have a short stopover at the port, we managed to cover all the tourist attractions on the pre-set itinerary and be back to the port on time. Moreover, he took us to try the popular pork soup and local sweet potato pancakes as well. He is on time and helpful. Contacted me the night before to ensure we will not miss each other after disembarked from the ship. Additionally, the company that organized the tour, is professional and experienced with great communication. They provide us with extra info such as bring some local currency (street food vendor don’t take credit card) start time and etc. The tour is small group only 6 people which is a plus too. Highly recommend.

The driver, Roy, was very accommodating to customize our tour according to our needs. He was very knowledgeable about the city and navigated thru the streets well. He was helpful to one the members in our group who was in a wheelchair. He visited all the sites we wanted and return us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.
Hi Harry, Thank you so much for this heart-warming review! Reading your comment truly made our day, and we've already shared your kind words with Roy. He has a huge smile on his face! Roy was so happy to travel with your group. For us, the most important thing is ensuring that everyone—including your family member in the wheelchair—feels safe, comfortable, and fully included in the journey. Roy mentioned how much he enjoyed customizing the route for you and making sure you could all experience the best of Busan without any stress. We also know how crucial it is to get back to the cruise ship on time, so we’re so glad you could relax and enjoy the day with peace of mind. Thank you for trusting us with your first visit to Busan. We genuinely hope to see your wonderful group again someday! Take care and safe travels wherever you go next. Best regards, Dylan and the Korea Go Tours Team
