Must stop!

Amazing castle and history park. Highly recommend this place for families too. So much to do and see. The castle is all decked out in period furnishings and the self guided tour of the castle is incredible. You can also do a dinner show inside the castle. The grounds are full of historical buildings, shops and farm houses which you can visit as well. Well done Bunratty team!

Nice but a little disappointed

It was a nice experience but not 5 star. We expected more info on the park and buildings, etc. Maybe people dressed in period clothes and reenactment but that isn't the case here. Still a nice depiction of life long ago.

Amazing park for all ages!

This was such a great experience for us! We broke up our drive from Killarney to Doolin with this visit to Bunratty Castle, and we don’t regret it! The Park grounds are stunning, the animals are adorable, and the castle was by far, the best castle we have toured thus far. Highly recommend!

Very good

An amazing castle and village. The people there are in costume and in roles. They have great knowledge of the time, the houses, the crafts and the history. You get to watch iron smiths, bread making, and take a Gaelic lesson if you want. Itvwas great.

Lots of walking and lots...

Lots of walking and lots of history. You need to be fairly agile to go up the towers in the castle but if you can make it, totally worth the climb!

An amazing and fun experience.

This place is fantastic. Touring the castle, the floors, the towers and seeing the castle rooms with time period artifacts was excellent. Well done Bunratty Staff. The village was top notch as well. I can see why schools come here. Endless learning opportunities. I highly recommend this experience if you are near Limerick/Shannon

Nice little castle tour & nature walk

The castle was cool as it had some furnishings inside, and the view from the top was really pretty on a clear day. Narrow twisty stairs up to the top. The folk park sort of felt like a walk through a nature-y park. The little houses and shops were cute when you could go inside, but several buildings were “closed for maintenance”. There was a ceramic artist selling things which was a nice surprise from all the “made in China tourist” goods. Flowers were beautiful and they had a few animals for viewing. I would go again.

Beautiful Restoration and Activity Recreation

The Castle and park are the most accurately restored Castle that we have visited and located in a lovely village. We really enjoyed the Medieval Banquet, the food was delicious and the entertainment excellent and funQ

Bunratty Castle - fun filled history

The castle is well restored with beautiful and interesting artifacts. As Americans, we found the castle to be fascinating since we have no real castles. Be sure to go up in the towers to see the views! The village gave us a good idea of what farm life was like in the 1800s.
