Join the Earl of Thomond for a glorious banquet at this majestic 15th century Bunratty Castle. The Butler welcomes guests, toasting an era of great Irish taste with excellent food, fine wine, and honey mead. A kilted piper plays a tune of welcome as you cross the drawbridge to the 'Bite of Friendship' offered by a Hostess. In the Great Hall, resplendent with tapestries, savor a goblet of Mead while mingling with the Ladies of the Castle. The Castle's history is told, followed by a medieval Madrigal, and the crowning of the Earl & Lady, before descending to the Banquet Hall, where bench seating, candle-light, and oak tables reflect medieval style. Enjoy a sumptuous four-course dinner with fine wines, while the Ladies sing to Irish Harp and Fiddle. The Butler seeks the Lord's approval for each dish - but a scoundrel is revealed and brought before the Earl to face his fate. A 35-minute selection of Irish medieval music follows dinner. The evening lasts two and a half hours.

My husband, my three adult children, and I were looking to experience the history of an Irish castle. The medieval banquet at the Bunratty Castle surpassed our expectations! The castle is majestic and beautiful. The evening was so interactive and fun! The actors that portrayed the characters were so talented and engaging! The four course meal, including mead, was terrific! The evening was truly a highlight of our trip!
What great fun this tour turned out to be. The cast was superb! We had great fun with the songs, music, singers and overall experience. The food was delicious! I would go to this banquet again.
This experience was really fun for my family. The food was delicious and the castle was beautiful. We went to tour the folk park and castle prior to the banquet (not included).
Every single person took their role seriously and you felt completely immersed. Loved the food the entertainment and of course the castle. Do not hesitate to book this banquet
The food was good the setting was a bit crowded but it made you get to know your neighbors fast. The music was fun the staff were very helpful.

Definitely a great night of fun , good food , wine and entertainment. Loved the authenticity of this 14th century Castle. The overall experience was well worth the price and included access to the early village of Bunratty. The period costumed actors performed throughout our 2 hour banquet and kept us all engaged with lively banter, hillarious interactions with guests and lovely Irish singing and music. The actors also delivered our 4 course meals in a timely manner. Each course was delivered hot and was delicious.
I’ve been to many Renaissance fairs over the years, but this Medieval reenactment was on a completely different level — the most authentic and enjoyable one I’ve ever attended. Truly the highlight of my time here in Ireland. My family and I dressed in full Medieval attire, and not only did we fit right in, we actually got to be part of the show. It was an absolute blast. Even though we arrived about 30 minutes late, the staff went above and beyond. They searched for us after the gates had already closed and still made sure we got inside quickly and comfortably. Their kindness and hospitality made the night even more memorable. If you’re ever in County Clare, I highly recommend the Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet. It’s an experience you won’t forget.
