It is a different look at Brussels . The one that tourists don’t see. There is history and clearly poverty like any big city . Walk through multi cultural area . Given that it was a holiday weekend there was lots of trash . Just like any big city
Thank you for your feedback. This tour is intentionally designed to show a different and more authentic side of Brussels — the “B-side” of the city — which may be less traditional but no less interesting or enjoyable. As you mentioned, it was a holiday weekend, so unfortunately there was more trash in the streets than usual, something that can happen in any large European city during festive periods.
Great tour of the lesser known/non-touristy parts of Brussels. Christophe was very informative and friendly. Recommend!
I was a little concerned when I booked this tour because I had booked a walking tour for the day before this one which covered all the typical sites and was worried there would be a lot of repetition. I selected this one in hopes that it would offer different sites than the other one and it did not disappoint. We covered entirely different areas of the city which included where the port used to be and the canal systems. Matteo was absolutely delightful in describing how structures used to look or what they were replaced with and the history behind it all. He also talked about the culture of the city and we got to see Het Zinneke and hear about him. We covered a lot of places that tourist don't typically go. It was a wonderful experience. Just what I'd hoped for.
This was an excellent tour. We walked all over Brussels and saw things we would never have seen on our own. We visited different neighborhoods, stopped for a beverage, and walked nearly 4 miles. Kristoff was funny, knew the history of Brussels, which added so much charm to the experience.
Our group of six visited the city for the first time via a quick train ride from France. We were looking for a deep dive into the historic center, and Lucas was the perfect match. He was incredibly well-informed, and we gained so much insight. He highlighted the best eateries and chocolatiers while sharing his impressive expertise on local brews. The rhythm of the walk was ideal, and his storytelling was top-notch. We’d definitely hire Lucas for another adventure!
Liam was such a delightful guide. My friends and I valued all his cultural insights and background stories. He made us feel genuinely comfortable, and the whole day was wonderfully easygoing and enjoyable—thanks to Liam!
It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with Thomas. His insight and enthusiasm for Brussels were fantastic. We enjoyed a great few hours in the sunshine, taking in beautiful sights and hearing engaging stories. Thank you!
Mathieu was a lively, well-informed guide who showed us both the main highlights and some tucked-away corners of Brussels’ old center. His energy and humor kept us going! We covered a lot of ground, learned plenty of interesting facts, and left with tons of ideas for the rest of our stay. A great way to get your bearings and fall in love with the city from the start.
Martin was an excellent guide. Our 3-hour tour with him was both fascinating and entertaining. He shared so much insight about the city, and every recommendation he gave was spot on. We really appreciated the chocolates, the advice, and the wonderful company!
Chris gave us an interesting fact filled tour of Brussels away from the usual tourist spots. We were given a glimpse of how the local population lives, and a better sense of the city's history and future.
