Do not sign up for this trip! Our guide was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable. He was surprised that we had signed up for the walking tour and the boat ride. He showed us a few interesting sights and then we had to rush to the boat which was incredibly far away. I ended up watching my footsteps instead of the sights as I am 74 and was afraid to fall on the cobblestones. We were reminded that we had to hurry. My husband had two new knees and is 75. It was brutal. We just made it in time with the guide running ahead of us to alert them to wait. The ride had ZERO sights to see. The guide would say, "you can't see it but over there is where the king lived," etc. The only sight we saw were the scrap yards on the canal side. There was nothing beautiful, nothing historic. This was a boat that goes back and forth and takes locals to Brussels and back, an hour each way. We were the ONLY people on this boat. It cost us $505.00 and was a complete waste of time and money. We were later told that Viator is located in America and tours are created with no experience in the locations. I believe it now. Buyer beware and do not book this trip! Post script: the “canned” insincere reply from Viator is unacceptable. They should refund our money for not providing what they advertised and change the trip so others aren’t fooled into purchasing it.
